"My games at three." Noah says as he gets ready for school.
"Okay. I'll be there. But my flights at seven so right after the game I have to go to the airport." I say frowning.
"Well I gotta go before I'm late to class." Noah says going towards the door.
"Love you."
"Love you." Noah says before leaving.
That day I spend lonely. Mostly on my phone. At two thirty I decide to start getting ready for Noah's game.
I steal one of Noah's jersey's from his closet and do yellow and red makeup.
After getting ready I take a taxi down to the football feld where the game is. I go to the bleachers and just kind of sit there. Everyone else is with someone but then there's me. Who is just sitting there lonely waiting for the game to start. The game finally starts, which feels like forever.
After the game Noah's team ends up winning and happiness and screaming is in the air. I go down and spot Noah talking to the guy who was supposed to be watching his game today. I wait until he spots me and jogs over to me.
He scoops me up and kisses me like he's never kissed me before.
He puts me down and says with a happy smile. "You won't believe what Mr. Grayson said!"
"What?" I say excited.
"I'm getting onto the waiting list for a football camp this summer. If I get into this camp and do well I could get onto an amazing team Elle!" Noah says happily.
"The summer? But that's the only time we have together." I say frowning.
"But Elle this is huge." Noah says still happy.
"I know Noah, and I'm crazy happy about it too. But summer is the only two months we have together." I say proving a point.
Noah just goes silent. And anything I can hear is everyone else happy, but Noah ans me are just silent staring at each other.
"I have to go, I can't miss my flight." I say turning around.
"Text me when you get home." Noah says without stopping me.
I just walk away. Without a goodbye kiss, hug, or even goodbye. As I walk to the street a tear falls down my cheek but I wipe it away. I here a muffled yell and I swoop around hoping it's Noah but realize it's not.
I'm sitting in the airport waiting, glancing every time someone walks in hoping it's Noah, but it's never him. It's always someone rushing to there flights or coming in and sitting down to wait for there flight.
It's finally time for me to board my flight and I take one look back before giving the lady my ticket.
I'm just about into the plane when I hear my name called. I look back to see Noah but I just turn back around and go onto the plane. A tear rolls down my tear as I regret everything that's happened since I came to Boston.
The whole ride back to LA I'm just sitting in one spot staring out the window. Looking down at the promise ring and quietly crying. Why did I do this? It's all my fault. I may have just lost my boyfriend, my best friend, my soulmate.
When I get home no one's home. I go up to my room and fall onto the bed. I smell Noah on the sheets and jump up and scream. The scream that I've been holding in since I left.
I rip the sheets of the bed and cry. I lie on the cold bed, with nothing but me on it since everything smells like Noah. I fall asleep not to long after that, in a pile of tears.
...
I wake up to the sound of birds chirping. It's been five days since me and Noah had our fight and I've been ignoring all his calls, his texts, his voicemails. I'm surprised he hasn't tried calling Lee and convincing him to make me talk to him. But then again Lee doesn't know anything. He's been at Rachel's almost every day. Except for the day Rachel was here. And I've been hiding in my room every day. School, home, room. That's my routine right now.
I don't even remember the last time I ate a real meal. I've only been eating corned store food. Ignore every breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pretending I've already ate is now just a habit for me.
After school Rachel comes over today and I just hide in my room. Doing nothing but watching romcoms and crying. Sometimes because of the romcoms but usually because of my life right now.
I'm sitting in my bed in sweat pants and a sweatshirt that hasn't been washed in five days, that I've also worn every day, when Lee knocks at my door.
"Come in." I say looking at the door.
"Guess what I just did." Lee says with a huge smile on his face.
"What?" I say pretending into smile.
"I gave Rachel a promise ring." Lee says happily.
"Congrats." I sigh.
"Elle? Can you just be happy for me for once? It's always you not being happy for me. Just because you already have a promise ring doesn't mean you can't be grateful for me." Lee says staring at me.
"Lee? Have you checked in on me in the past five days. Whenever I got back from Boston?" I say looking at him holding back the tears.
"N-"
"No, you haven't. So let me fill you up. Me and Noah had a huge fight and we haven't been talking. I don't even know if we're a thing anymore." I shrug.
"Oh m-"
"Oh no there's more. I haven't eaten a real meal since NYC. Im depressed. I don't even know if I fucking want to be alive anymore." I say crying.
"Elle." Lee says looking like he might cry.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Why? Maybe because we barley talk anymore. Maybe because you're barley here, and when you are, you're with Rachel." I cry.
"Well you can come to me." Lee says.
"Lee. I don't know if you even know me anymore." I say shaking my head and leaving the room.
