Consequences of Assassins ((Killua x OC))

Chapter Two

~Ayano's POV~

We were following Satoz-san to the next phase. I was still holding the card, wondering what it meant.

'Queen of Hearts'

"Hey, Ayano." Killua called me.

"Huh? What is it?" I asked him.

"How'd you catch that card just now?"

"I-uh, reflexes? Yeah." I said unsurely. I honestly don't know how I caught that.

"Well, you have pretty good reflexes, then." He complemented me, and I couldn't help but blush.

The fog got thicker as we were running, making it harder to see where we were going.

"Hey, let's go up to the front." Gon suggested. He called for Leorio and Kurapika, and they told him that they'd catch up. Then we suddenly for swallowed by a huge from or toad, I really can't tell the difference.

Gon and Killua were in one toad and I was in another. I pulled out my katana, slicing the inside, my eyes turning violet without noticing. The toad bursted into a million pieces. Gon and Killua looked at me with shocked faces. Well, Killua was more of an interested face.

"What?" I asked them.

"Y-You're eyes..." Gon started.

"Did they turn violet, again?" I asked worriedly.

"Again?" They both said in unision.

"I'll explain later, but let's go catch up to--" I got cut off by a scream. I think it was that old ma-- I mean.... Leorio...

We ran after Leorio, but Gon and Killua got there before me, so I missed some stuff that happened. But when I got there, I saw that pedo choking Gon.

"Gon!" I yelled. #44 looked at me. I never got to know his name... "Let go of him!"

#44 looked at me, then threw Gon to the floor. He walked up to me. I looked at him nervously. Then he whispered something in my ear and left. My eyes widened with fury as he told me it.

'I know about your parents.'

I really needed answers, but right now, I can't. I ran to Gon I noticed Killua run up to him to. They were now gonna track down Leorio.

"Ayano," Killua called me as I nodded in reply "You're hiding too much from us. If you do that, it'll be hard to trust you."

"It's okay. As long as I know that I can trust you." I said to him.

"How do you know that you can trust me?" Killua looked at me with an emotionalless gaze, but I still saw something in him that showed the emotion he was hiding.

"Loneliness," I simply said.

"What?" Killua stared at me with a confused expression.

"You job. It's lonely. I'm the same." I tks him with a depressing face.

'No! I should always smile!!!'

I smiled and tried changing the topic. "Let's go catch up to Gon now."

We both ran up to him and saw that we were at the start of the second phase. After they introduced themselves, everyone laughed at them for being Gourmet Hunters. I actually thought it was pretty cool.

Menchi got real pissed. They ordered us to hunt some pigs and cook them. That's what we're doing right now. Looking for pigs.

Soon, everyone was screaming for their lives and stuff (I'm too lazy to write the rest, but you know how it went if you watched the series and whatever)
