~Kurapika's POV~

Gon, Killua, Leorio and I are already in the forest place where the next stage for the Hunter Exam. I was hiding in the trees above, making sure that no one knew where I was so someone won't take my badge.

It's been 20 minutes since this stage started, and I already got my target's badge. I jumped down from the tree I was in and started to walk forward slowly. Suddenly, something in the distance moved. I was quickly alerted and I stayed absolutely still. I heard the person running at me. Fast. I started sprinting towards the nearest tree in front of me and I started to climb as fast as I can. I reached the top of the tree and I stayed still for a few minutes, searching around for the person targeting me.

There was no sign of anyone near me right now, so I jumped down the tree and just sat there exhausted.

"Hey, Kurapika," I heard a voice behind me, which made me jump.

"Oh, Ayano," I said to her as she sat down beside me.

"Did I really scare you that badly?" She smiled innocently.

"Well..." I said trying to hide the fact that I got scared, but she just laughed. "Something seems different about you..."

"Huh?" Ayano wondered.

"I could've sworn you eye colour was green," I told her. "But it's actually violet,"

"Oh..." Ayano hesitated. "Well, in that case,"

"Ayano?" I asked as I saw her get up and rip a piece of bark off the tree I was leaning on.

She raised her arm, which she was holding the piece of bark and rapidly threw it down, nearly hitting me. The bark gripped a piece of my pants, so deep that I couldn't get out of it.

'That girl has incredible power,'

Ayano grabbed my two arms and slammed them on the tree behind me and stuck it there with bark. Now, I really couldn't move.

Ayano sort of squatted down beside me and looked over at me. She reached out to where my chest was and went under my shirt. When she pulled her arm out, in her hand was my badge.

"Crap!" I cursed as she took it and walked away.

I was stuck there. I used all my strength to try pulling my arms out free, but the bark was really in the tree pretty deep, so I tried ripping my sleeves.

"Kurapika?" I heard Killua's voice behind me.

"Hey, Killua, can you help me out?" I asked in a 'Gon' type of way.

"Sure," He said and took the pieces of bark out. "Who trapped out here? Because whoever did it is really strong."

"You take them out like it's so easy..." I mumbled.

"Huh?"

"Nothing," I said and got up. "It was Ayano. Apparently she got my number."

"Really?" Killua said. "I was just looking for her."

"She went that way," I pointed in the direction to where she went.

"Ok, see you after the exam." Killua said and started walking. "Or not,"

"H-Hey!"

~Killua's POV~

I was walking prettty calmly in the direction to where Ayano went. I really need to find out what she's trying to hide.

"Killua," It was Ayano's voice. I turned around to find her.

'She didn't use honorifics on my name...'

"We're alone now, so you don't have to be afraid of other people hear about what you're hiding." I firmly told her.

"Hey, I don't want to become your enemy," she told me.

"Tell me what you're hiding, Ayano," I intimidated.

"I'm sorry, Killua, but I can't." She smiled.

"Your eyes," I said. "Why aren't they green?"

"What?" Ayano wondered.

"Your eyes are violet." I accused her.

Ayano remained silent.

"You have a split personality when your eyes are like that, don't you?" I suspected.

Ayano suddenly fell to her knees and coughed out blood.

"H-Hey!" I became really worried about her.

Ayano stopped coughing and looked up at me. Her eyes turned green.

"Killua-kun?" She asked. "What... Happened?"

'Her other self ran away from my question,'
