~Gon's POV~

I didn't want Killua being sad because of this. I even knew that Ayano was also hurting because of this situation. Killua was payed to do what he had to. He was just a kid. And now, we're still kids. How could she forgive a child for doing something an adult could've done.

I left Killua alone for a while before checking up on him every so often. During that time, I broke my arm since me and Killua got into some trouble. We haven't seen Ayano since the incident and I can't practice nen until I heal completely. Killua has been pretty quiet too, and it's gotten me worried about what might happen between them.

I'm on my bed, while Killua was sitting at the table with a blank stare on his face. He was in deep thought and I knew I shouldn't bother him, but I needed to talk to someone without Killua with me.

"Killua?" I said quietly. He didn't respond. "I'll be out for a bit, okay?" No response. I stood up from the bed, clearly showing that I was getting up. Still, no response. I opened the door and looked back at Killua. Again, no response. "See you later..."

I walked down the hall and found the elevator. I entered and saw Wing-san inside.

"Hi Gon. You're not going to be practising your nen, are you?" He asked suspiciously.

"No, I'm actually going to go see Ayano." I told him. "We haven't seen her for a while now."

"Really?" He asked. "How's Killua doing? I haven't seen him much around either."

"Killua is..." I hesitated to answer him, but I didn't want to lie. "Killua is doing okay, I guess?"

"That's not very good then." He said and the elevator opened to the floor Ayano was on. "Gon, try to get Ayano to forgive him, okay?"

"Okay." I said and walked out the elevator to look for Ayano's room. Once I found it, I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. "Ayano?"

I could hear her footsteps coming quietly towards the door. The door clocked and opened a bit. "Hey Gon." She smiled at me.

I took a short moment to look at her. Her light brown hair was past her shoulder and she was wearing a light green shirt. It brought out her eyes. If only it stayed green. She had dark blue jeans on and was wearing her black combat boots.
"Ayano, I need to talk to you for a bit." I said to her. She nodded, probably knowing what I'm going to talk about, and let me in her room.

"So, how have you been?" She asked me and walked over to the kitchen and poured water to make tea.

"I've been..." I hesitated and looked at my broken arm. "I've been better, I guess?"

She laughed quietly. "I saw your fight. It was pretty intense, especially with your arm." She said and brought the tea over to the table I sat at. "That was pretty dangerous! You didn't use your nen to protect yourself!"

I smiled and saw that she was doing alright. "It was pretty dangerous, huh..." I said and sipped my tea.

"So how's Killua doing?" She asked me. I looked up from my drink and saw her face.

She was close to crying. Almost so close that she could barely even opened her eyes. Some tears still tried to define gravity and hung from her long eyelashes, but eventually it'll fall.

"Killua is..." I hesitated even more than when I answered Wing-san. I didn't want to lie to her as much as Wing-san, but she needed to know as much as him. I set the cup on the table and said truthfully. "Killua needs you."

"What?" Her eyes were now completely open. The beads of water that hung from her eyes and eyelashes had fallen. "No, he doesn't."

"Yes, he does!" I said aggressively. I stood up and looked at her. I snapped. I couldn't handle any more of this. "I don't want my best friend being sad all his life! He's so heartbroken and guilty, he won't even talk!"

"Heartbroken? Guilty!?" Ayano yelled. "I had no family growing up! Killua's has a sister that he cares about! You have an amazing father! But I had no one!"

"Ayano, that's... that's not what I meant," I said, trying to calm her down a bit.

"You don't know Gon." She spat at me. I looked into her eyes and saw that they were changing. Turning purple. "My parents weren't the only people he's killed."

"What...?"
