~Ayano's POV~

Killua and I have been waiting at the end of the forest with the badges we needed to move on to the next round.

Gon, Kurapika and that old dude-- I mean Leorio--have been taking their damn time getting here.

"Hey Ayano," Killua said grabbing my attention. "Do you have a split personality?"

"Huh?" I wondered. "Oh! You mean..." My face showed a kind of guilty expression.

"That girl with the violet eyes," Killua said.

"Yeah, I guess you could call it a split personality," I told him.

"I have a sister. Her name's Alluka," Killua explained. "She also has this kind of split personality."

"Really?" I said interested. "I would like to meet her one day,"

"Maybe you can." Killua concluded.

"Oh look!" I exclaimed. "It's Gon and the others!"

Killua looked at them running towards us.

"Wow! They actually made it!" Killua said happily.

"For a second I thought they died," I mumbled under my breath.

"10 applicants are left?" Killua asked me to be sure.

"Yeah," I assured him.

"Hm...I wonder what the next stage is..." Killua wondered.

--Timeskip--

Before the fifth stage, (apparently it's the last one) we had to be interviewed by Netero-san and the others. Most of the questions were straight forward, so I didn't worry too much.

--Timeskip--

Netero-san explained the rules to the last stage. We were supposed to face someone in a battle and if we lose one, we could still move up to another battle. One win is all you need to get your license. There will be one person that loses. No TKOs allowed and if you kill your opponent, then you are automatically disqualified. The chart that Netero-san showed us has nine lines.

"Any questions?" Netero-san asked everyone before we began.

"I have one!" We all turned to look at Killua. "There are nine lines in the chart, but 10 people made it. Why is that?"

"U-Um..." I interrupted loudly.

"Ayano-chan? Please explain." Netero-san said excitedly.

I sighed. "Um... Everyone? I have to automatically pass the Hunter Exam."

The people had a really confused look on their face exceplt for Killua. He just looked at me with a face of disbelief.

"Wait, so Ayano doesn't have to fight????" Gon a asked in amazement.

"Nope!" Netero-san exclaimed.

"How come?" Kurapika asked joining the conversation.

"Well, we gave Ayano a mission and she can't accomplish it without being a professional Hunter," Netero-san explained.

"What mission?" Killua interrupted.

"I will not answer anymore questions!" Netero-san said and turned around to begin the battle.

The first battle begun and Gon and Hanzo was in the first match. I felt the need to stop Gon from fighting Hanzo. I over heard Kurapika and Leorio talking about the same thing.

Three hours had passed and Gon was getting beat up by Hanzo without any breaks. I was watching the fight until Killua walked beside me.

"You could've told me." He said.

I looked to him. "I can't. I wasn't allowed."

"Is that really all?" He asked.

"I guess so..." I hesitanted. There was a moment of silence and my mind was blocked out of the battle between Gon and Hanzo. I guess Killua was the same. "Hey, you know how I'm looking for the boy that murdered my parents?"

"Y-yeah?" Killua stuttered.

"Well, I think he also had silver hair like you..." I said quietly.

"So you're accusing me of murdering you parents?" Killua said.

"No, it's just... When I saw him murder my parents, I felt that I needed to know who the person is..." I started. "His silver hair... Just shows how mysterious he could be."

"You knew all that just by looking at his hair?" Killua asked.

"Yeah..." I mumbled. "Maybe... I don't need to get revenge. I might just meet him and ask him why he had to murder my parents."

"Ayano, I need to tell you something." Killua said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I'm the--" Killua was cut off by a horrifying sound that echoed the room.

Crack

"Now you can't use your left arm anymore," Hanzo said to Gon, who was of the ground.

"H-He broke his arm..." I stuttered as I took a short step back. I bit my lip in a nervous way.

"Hey, it's fine. This is Gon after all," Killua said.

"You really think he'll be okay?" I asked worried.

"I think Leorio and Kurapika is facing the urge to stop Hanzo." Killua stated. He went to walk away.

"I... I hope he'll be alright..." I said to myself. Then suddenly my head started to hurt and my heart started to pound really hard. My eyes started to burn and my mind started to grow darker and darker. "No... Not yet..."

I could sense the bitter taste of darkness.

'She's trying again...'

I bent down and clutched my chest on where my heart is.

'She's trying to take over again...'

I could feel my own aura change.

'She might win this time...'

I slowly reached into the pocket of my shorts and took out a small knife.

'I have to stop her before it happens again...'

I put the blade against the skin of my left wrist.

'She might turn me into a monster again...'

I swiped the blade through my flesh and I let a small amount of blood leak through, but enough to get the other side of me out of my system. My body was able to function properly again, but before I knew it, I found out that I was out of it for too long.

"Killua is now disqualified!"
