1#: Kai was actually fixing up to be a decent Blacksmith, up until Ray and Maya got abducted, which turned into Kai teaching himself, which was why he subsequently sucked at Blacksmithing. 

2#: Nya actually controlled water once before she knew she was an elemental master. One day, she was alone in the Bounty, and she wanted a drink while she was working. So she reached out, and water came to her. She dropped it, rubbing her eyes, and brushed it off as a hallucination, before grabbing water herself. 

3#: Lloyd actually once gave out cards on Valentine's Day at Darkley's Boarding School, but quickly pranked the entire school, after learning that giving out cards was "good"

4#: Morro was a trouble magnet. By the time he was becoming a Master of the Wind, Wu made sure Morro was on a child-leash when they were in the city, lest Morro accidentally flings himself into the air again in excitement.

5#: Idea from TheDonutkie5. Jay and Seliel are twins, 17 minutes apart, but Krux killed their mother, which then made Cliff give them to different families. Later, they found out that they were siblings, after a pretty epic fight, and then they started to teach each other about their lightning powers, which then resulted in "The Lightning Twins" 

6#: Skylor once mistook a Kabuki for her mother, as she had been taking care of her since childbirth. She'd called her "mother" for a few weeks, before hanging out with the said Kabuki, since Chen was too busy. Chen found out and had her killed since he wanted to be Skylor's only parental figure. 

7#: Pixal had a pet fish before she met Zane. She cared for it every day, and gave it a nice tank, and basically added a new addition to it every day. The fish was called Bubbles, and it died when Cyrus turned into Evil Cyrus, and the Overlord ordered him to kill the fish, and tank, which he did. RIP Bubbles.
