We slowly walked to our hotel, hand in hand, and with a smile on all of our faces. It maybe was one of the coldest nights of my life, and my toes maybe were killing me from all the walking, but I couldn't be happier. Just as we passed Times Square, light white snowflakes started dancing from the sky. The clouds covered the moon, and we were left with the shimmering lights of the city that never sleeps, and millions of little diamonds piling up on its streets. All of a sudden, Harry grabbed my waist and drowned me closer. I almost fell on the already slippery floor. He looked me deep into my eyes.
-Do you trust me?- I realised we were falling behind from our little group.
-With my life.- I knew what was he thinking most of the time, but now I was completely deaf.
-Then make snowballs.- he put a little pile of snow in my hand and covered it with his. -We're attacking.- Nobody saw this coming. Harry hit Zayn on the head while I aimed at Louis. He slipped on the curb, and turned around in the air before hitting the floor. This was the closest I could get to revenge for what he said a few months ago. As soon as they realised what was going on, they started firing back. Even Lux somehow hit Perrie on her leg. By the time the fight was over, I had snow coming out of every part of my body. And by the time the snow melted, I looked like a wet dog. We soaked the entire lobby when we got to the hotel.
-I had a fun night.- I said when we were finally alone in our room.
-Me too.- he looked at his silver watch. -Even though the night ended a while ago. I kissed him. I felt his warmth melting me like ice. His still wet curls were tickeling my face while we were falling on the bed. His cheeks couldn't stop smiling, which only made his dimples pop out even more. He got up from me, and went to the wardrobe. -Pack.-
-What?- I was confused.
-We're going on a trip.-
-Harry, I have school.-
-No you don't. I pulled you out. You have the next week off... You just have to write two tests when we get back.- he smiled like a kid who just did something wrong.
-Uhm, thanks... I guess.- he threw me my bag. I started picking up my clothes from the floor. I was here for three days, but the place looked like a ship wreck. We said goodbye to everyone and rushed to the airport. The last time we were going on a trip by plane, Niall and Lucy weren't together, we weren't engaged, and I didn't want to rip Louis's head off. Now, I couldn't imagine if something would change. Maybe those things happened half a year ago, but they were so faded I felt like they were just a memory from a past life. I fell asleep on the plane wrapped in Harry's arms.
-Bloodly jetlag!- I whispered when I opened my eyes to a night sky.
-I know.- I heard his sleepy voice behind me. -I hate it too.-
-Did I wake you up?-
-Yes.- I looked down. -But now, I can spend even more time with you.- I sighed, then turned around and kissed him.
-Doesn't this seem fammiliar?- I asked with my eyes locked on his.
-What do you mean... Like deja vu?-
-Just think about it. Six months ago we were flying on a plane just like this. But so much has changed since then.- he smirked. -Look at us. We're engaged, living together, survived so much together,-
-But I still love you. That didn't change.- he cut me off. -And I love you more and more every day.-
-I know.- I looked at the window. -Where are we anyway?-
-The Alps. We're going skiing.-
-Me? Skiing. I can barely walk on my own two feet.-
-I'll teach you.-
-Teacher Harry.- he sighed. -I like the sound of that.- we got out of the plane and drove off to our hotel. It wasn't really a hotel. More like a little wooden cabin village hidden between the mountains.
-Wow.- I was so mesmirised by the sky. I haven't seen stars that bright since our trip to Sevid. The warm light coming from the estate in front of us looked like it was melting the sparkly snow underneath. I coiled up next to his warm brown woolen jacket to hide from the cold. I watched the air from my mouth turn into steam while we were walking. The first thing I did when we got to our cabin was covering myself with a blanket. I wasn't used to this cold. Split was one of the warmest places in the south-east part of Europe, it will always be. Snow fell every three or four years, but it would last for no more than a day. But the one year when the snow beat its 50 year record, the whole town had fun. I didn't learn how to ski, but I did learn how to slide down the street on a trash bag and a tray. Even school was fun when we broke into the garden.
-How can you be so cold?-
-I'm from the Adriatic. We don't start wearing jackets until Christmas.-
-Come here.- he opened his arms. I couldn't help but hug him with my blanket-covered body. He wasn't expecting me to throw him on the bed, though. He yelped when we hit the pillow. He smiled as I was pushing my lips against his. I got up so I could see him a little better. His snow-covered tan beenie was trapping his curls inside, and the blanket was covering his -partially raised above his hips- shirt. I curled up next to him.
-You know I won't let anyone hurt you, right? You're my entire world.-
-I know.- I rested my head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat as he was stroaking my hair. The warm tea falling down my throat warmed us both up as we were having one of those pointless conversations that mean so much. I felt his warmth under my skin as I was falling asleep in his arms, feeling like nobody can hurt me. They say the world is built for two, and I felt completely safe in mine, even if we were snowed in in the middle of nowhere.
The week flew by. The snow covered the door, so we were stuck for three days. But I didn't mind. And neither did he. I was completely happy liyng in bed with him watching the fire in the fireplace. The other four days were different. I almost broke my neck after jumping off of the ropeway, so Harry spent the entire night massaging me. I was cold and wet after 20 minutes, but the only thing that prevented me to start tumbling down the mountain like a crazy person, was the fact that this makes him happy. And when he's happy, I'm happy.
-Whats wrong, baby?- I asked him while we were outside waiting for our taxi to take us to the airport.
-We're going home.- he looked down to the perfectly white snow. -Our escape from reality is over. I just wish you and I could be alone in the world... I wish we could run away.-
-Me too, but we can't. If it wasn't for the boys, Lucy and the fans I swear we'd be long gone by now.- He put his arm around my waist before I climbed up and kissed him. The cab came and we went in. He sighed as he took one last look at our home for the past 7 days.
-Actually,- he looked at me. -we can be anywhere in the world... As long as we're together.-
