I wasn't able to sleep. Sometimes after hours of squirming in my palm leaf-wooden bed, my eyes would close for a little while, but a moment after, the Sun would wake me up. Other times, I would just lay under the starry sky thinking where my other half is. I could bare the emptiness in my chest during the day, but as soon as the darkness would set in, a little part inside of me started to scream.

I had so many questions: Where is he? Is he alive? What happened? What will happen? But I had no answers. Maybe we were living on borrowed time all along? Maybe this is just a way of paying it back.

Days went by slowly. It's like a thousand years fit in just 24 hours. Every single hour, minute even was a challenge. I smiled on the outside because of everyone else, but my inside was burned. Gabriella was a good friend. She helped me with my external wounds and daily life in general. And Alexander and Skye could really make me laugh from time to time. Tyler kept his distance. I didn't really know did I ever hear him speak.

-I know who you are...- Skye said while chewing her banana. She looked at my confused face.

-Harry...- darkness fell upon me. -I know who is he too.- her blue eyes and blond hair reminded me of Niall.

-What, what do you mean?- I stuttered.

-One Direction? The world's biggest boyband?- she giggeled. -Oh come on, you have to know what does your boyfriend do for a living!-

-We're engaged actually...- tears covered my eyes. -At least we were.-

-Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, it's just that... I've always wanted to meet them. They're my idols. I know what you're thinking. 11 year old girl who's a fan of One Direction. But, they really helped me.- I knew exactly how she felt. I've never actually felt good about myself untill I became a Directioner, and I knew that was the same case for about 10 million people.

-He's an idiot...- I whispered looking at the sea.

-What?- she glanced at me.

-Harry. He's a real idiot.- my heart ached to the mention of his name. -Niall's loud. Liam's weird. Lou's crazy, and Zayn just sits in the corner with his hands on his eyes wondering why does he hang around with those people.- for the first time in a long time the smile on my face wasn't fake.

-Are they really as funny as everyone thinks?-

-They think they are.-

-What about Danielle, Eleanor, Lucy and Perrie?- Lucy. Just then I realised how much did I miss her.

-They're the best friends a person could ask for.-the cold wind breezed at me, lifting up my ripped sweater. -Even though Louis did influence on El quite a lot.- she chuckled.

-I'm really happy for you, for- she stopped. -him.- the smile on my face melted. -You deserve eachother.- I looked up. The last time I saw a moon as big as this Harry and I were in Holmes Chapel. -You'll find one another. You'll see.- she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

-I hope so.- I whispered.

I woke up the next morning feeling better than the past days. It was suprisingly warm, even though the Sun was hiding behind the clouds. Sand fell from my sweaty back when I sat up, looking at the ashes left from last night's fire. It kinda felt like the hole in my heart was getting smaller, like it was healing. The wind blew in my face as I was walking along the beach, feeling the wet sand on my bare feet. The entire horizon looked so empty. No ships on the shore, no birds in the air, no fish in the sea, no anything... I walked for what seemed for hours, just mentally creating perfect life scenarios or remembering old moments when I was perfectly happy. How he used to wake me up with a kiss or every single time he told me I was beautiful. We really were in love. But maybe we got so blinded that we couldn't see what was in front of us the entire time- the real world. We were so in love with the idea of love that we forgot what matters.

I saw a black shape in the distance. It looked like a man. I rubbed my eyes trying to clear out my vision before I ran towards it.
