–Where is he?- I tapped my foot on the pavement of the parking lot. It’s been about four months since we found out we were having a baby, and it was time for the ultrasound. And the father of my child was nowhere to be found.

I took my phone out to call him but all I got was voicemail, again.

-I swear, I’m going to—

-Whoa, calm down,- Lucy held me back, -Don’t leave Baby fatherless. Besides, Niall’s on that meeting too. They’ll be fine.-

-Well, Niall doesn’t have to be somewhere.-

-Let’s just go. He’ll come eventually.-

I got in the car with her and decided to send Harry another text;

If you don’t come now, you’re on death penalty.

And it’s not just the hormones talking.

I felt Baby kicking in my stomach.

-Yeah, I know. He’s a dead man.-

-Who’re you talking to?-

-Just babbling with my stomach.-

We got to the clinic, and since Harry was nowhere to be found, we just gone in.

-And is the father here?- the nurse asked us.

-Better for his health if he’s not,-

-Okay…- the nurse looked at me awkwardly, -The doctor will shortly be with you,- she said and left the room.

Lucy sat in the corner of the room and I got as comfortable as you can get on the examination table.

The door quickly opened, and Harry ran into the room.

-Where were you?!-

-Sorry, I got here as fast as I could. The meeting ran a little late.- He kissed me before sitting in the chair next to me. His eyes were puffy and red, and his hair was messier than usual. I wonder what happened at that meeting. He saw I was looking at him anxiously, so he smiled and said, -We just got into a little fight. Nothing to worry about, babe.- I smiled as the doctor came.

-Ah, Mr and Mrs Styles, right?- I chuckled, because even after five and a half months of being married, I wasn’t used to being called Mrs Styles. The Dr’s name tag read Dr Harris. She walked across the room and grabbed a file before sitting on the other side of the bed.

She smiled, -Then I guess we’re ready to begin.- She rubbed my stomach with something really cold, and I couldn’t help but stick my fingernails in Harry’s palm. Not because it hurt. Because he was late.

She fondled with the ultrasound thingy for quite some time, and then the picture of my baby showed up on the screen.

Harry covered his shock with his palm, gripping my hand even tighter with his other. I was too shocked for words.

-She’s beautiful. She- He?- his expression changed from ‘OMG’ to confused.

-Well, you can find out now,- the doctor said.

He and I looked at each other.

-We’ll wait!- I said before Harry got the chance to think, -You said you wanted to be surprised, didn’t you?-

-Yeah, I guess… You’re right.- he turned to the doctor, -We’ll wait,- and smiled.

We looked at the baby.

-Baby’s got your nose,- he said.

-Well Baby has your smile, and Baby better have your eyes.-

-Hello,- Luce butted in, -Baby doesn’t even have an HQ picture of Baby.-

-Yeah, yeah… You’re just jealous something this perfect didn’t come out of the ‘Nucy’ factory.-

After the ultrasound, I grabbed Lucy in the parking lot, -What happened at that meeting?-

-Am I a part of One Direction?-

-I’m worried. Can you ask Niall about it? Harry didn’t want to talk about it.-

-Sure. But, Sara. It’s probably just some management’s crazy idea of a world tour or something. And even if it is, Harry would never leave you now. Don’t worry,- she beat me to the car.

Harry and I dropped her off at her place and went home.

-I’m just gonna go change,- he said once we entered the house and kissed my forehead. As soon as he was gone, I took out my phone and called Lucy.

-So, did you talk to him?-

-Yeah. He just said they had a little fight and not to worry about it.-

-Tell me about it,- I rolled my eyes. I heard Harry on the stairs. –Luce, Harry’s coming. I’ve gotta go.-

-Who were you talking to?-

-Mom. She wanted to know how Baby’s doing,- I lied.

-Baby’s fine,- he dragged me to the couch. Some re-run of Alan Carr was on, but I didn’t pay much attention to that and Harry was on his phone.

-What, did you brag to your followers that Baby’s peachy?-

-Yup. Sharing personal details and stuff no one understands online is my speciality.- he smiled in the way only he could, his dimples showing off.

-Well, Curly, they must be thrilled… You know, I wonder how would I react if I were still just a fan and you got married and had a baby.-

-You always do that, think what could’ve happened. Just let yourself go. We don’t want Baby to have a mom who’s no fun.- He put his hand on my bump. Suddenly, he backed off. –He- she- kicked.—

-Well, yeah, that’s what babies do… Baby likes your voice.-

He smiled insecurely, and started singing, -Baby you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But, when you smile at the ground, it ain’t hard to tell.- he lifted his head so out eyes met, -You don’t know you’re beautiful.-

-Seriously? Nothing more original?- then our lips met, but that got interrupted by Baby kicking.

I sighed, and turned to the bump, -If you want us to get a room, it won’t help since you go everywhere I go.- I pouted.

-Baby just likes my voice,- he grinned.

-Don’t flatter yourself, Curly.-
