Gotta Be You

My head was filled with the billions of ways my mom would react right now: Falling in shock, start screaming, hitting Harry with a slipper and making him run away, being excited? Yeah, right. If I had a daughter, and if she said to me that she was gettieng married to somebody she knows for 6 months, I'd flip. And my poor, uncoordinated mother that depends on me to be normal? Only God knew what she'd do. And I'm sure, I'm going to find out soon. The room was dark, and we just stood there in silence. Harry and I held hands while sitting next to eachother on the couch, and mom was 2 meters away. That's a safe distance. Right? I didn't think I'd hear these next words that came out of her mouth in this life:

-Sara... Harry...- she put our tangled hands in hers, and Harry and I exchanged a probbably the most confused look yet. -I'm so happy for you!-

-I'm sorry... You're what?- I asked jumping, but instead of an answer, she just kept talking.

-I knew this was coming... I see the way you two look at eachother, and the way you cried over eachother when you were seperated. I can't say I'm thrilled that this happened now, not in a few years, but I'm really happy for you.- she looked me in the eyes. Her dark brown eyes, looked even darker in the poor light. I saw a tear in her right eye, but I don't think it was from sadness. It was a tear of joy. She really is happy for us. -I just don't want you to make the same mistake that I did. Get married too soon, and then crying as you watch it end. But you were never me, and I know you'll make the right decision.-

-Mom...- I let go of Harry's hand, and threw myself in her arms. -You have no idea how much this means to me!- we shared that moment, like a mother and daugter should- not talking. Because, when you're close to someone, like I was with my family or with Harry, you don't need to speak to comunicate. You just need to be close.

-Harry, come here! Now that you're going to be my son-in-law, I need to get to know you a little better.- she said, and spread her other arm in Harry's way. As soon as I managed to let go, she went to call everyone and tell them the good news. Harry gave her his mother's Skype and the two of them spent the next few weeks talking about the wedding. When we came back to our house in London, we came to a suprise. All of our friends there, holding a cake. The cake had Congradulations Sarry! written on it. Then it hit me. An engadment party. Great. It's not that I minded every single person I know in this town being here, I was just hoping for a quiet evening at home. With my fiancee´. Harry and I were both confused, and both didn't know what to do.

-Sara!!!-

-Harry!!!-

-Sarry!!!- a few voices were calling our names, but when I saw Lou, Zayn, Niall, Liam, Danielle, Perrie and Eleanor running towards us, there was no doubt. If we don't run now, they'll crush us. It was too late. I tried to grab Harry, but Louis and Zayn grabbed his belt, pulling him back. El and Niall jumped on my back, leaving me to fall down on Harry. -One big pile of mentally challenged idiots, right here.- I thought to myself. But, I wouldn't change them for the world. They may be crazy, stupid people, but they're my crazy, stupid people. And I belong amongst them. They helped us get up, and then threw water at us. They said it was ''punishment for being away for so long''.

-Was the water really necesarry?- I asked, drying myself with a towel Danielle got me.

-No. It was just fun.- Liam said.

-Maybe for you.- I added

-Oh come on, let them rest. They just came home.- Zayn continued.

-Then why did you jump on me?- Harry asked, adjusting his curls.

-Louis ordered me.-

-Zayn Javaad Malik!- we all jumped up to the sound of Louis's loud voice. -I would never do such a horrible thing. I have some dignity.-
