Alexandria’s POV

Everywhere I went, people stared. The bathroom, the table where the food was at, even the table me and Joshua was sitting at.

“Hey. Are you okay?” Joshua asked me.

“Yeah, just tired.” To be honest, I was exhausted and we were only here for an hour.

“If you want to go, we can go.”

“No. This is your event and I’m supporting you so I’ll stay for however long you stay.”

“Okay.”

He started kissing my neck and rubbing my thigh.

“Joshua stop, we are in public.”

“So, they aren’t even looking.”

But they were, everybody.

“Look up.”

When he looked up, he looked shocked but then said, “You want to go and get nasty in the bathroom.”

“Ewww Joshua, no.”

“Why not?”

“Because I said so.”

“Fine,” He started pouting and crossed his arms.

“Joshua stop acting like a baby.”

“Come in the bathroom with me. This event is boring and I need to be entertained by my lady.”

“Oh really?”

“Yes.”

“Well I guess you’re just going to have to be bored then.”

“Man.”

An hour later

We have been here for two hours and I’m still getting nasty looks.

I just want to go home, but this ends at 11. Only 1 more hour.

Joshua’s POV

I’m not really sure why I am at this event, but it was for my company so I had to come.

Alexandria does not want to be here and I’m happy that she’s sticking it out with me.

She was standing next to me while I talked to one of my business partners and I noticed he kept looking at her with disgust.

“Is that your girlfriend?” He said pointing to Alex.

“Yeah. Why?”

“It’s just that she used to strip and now you’re dating her. She is below your standards and she’s probably after your money.”

I looked at Alex and saw that she was about to cry and it killed me so I, of course, said something.

“Look I don’t know who you think you are, but do not talk about my girlfriend like that or I will kick your ass.”

“Really? You don’t have the balls,” He said while smirking.

I punched him and then we started throwing punches back and forth.

I could hear Alex screaming stop and I could feel her trying to pull me off of him, but I was to mad to respond.

“Baby, please stop. You knocked him out, just stop!” Alex screamed.

I stopped and stormed out the door.

I could hear Alex screaming my name repeatedly so I stopped.

“You should sit down.”

I sat down on the front steps.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Just what he was saying about you pissed me the fuck off. Why do people hate you so much? I love everything about you.”

“You can’t control what people think. Just let it go.”

“Ugh! I feel so stupid for letting this happen.”

“Joshua, you didn’t let this happen. It’s just what they think so let’s go home, clean you up, and go to sleep. Okay?”

“Okay.” I gave her a long passionate kiss and we left.

When we got home, she cleaned my bloddy knuckles and iced my eye and we fell asleep in each other’s arms.
