Chapter 2

2 months later

I had seen Joshua everywhere I went.

The store

The strip club

I even saw him at the park where I run to keep in shape

What is his problem?

I am really trying to not snap on him, but is making it really hard.

It was a Friday night and I decided that I was going to take the night off because I needed to study for my finals.

As I was studying, I heard a knock at my door, usually my brother would come to get money for whatever he may need, but when I opened the door I saw the one person that has been getting on my damn nerves for the past 2 months.

Joshua

“What the hell? How the fuck do you know where I live?” I said as I glared at him.

“Ummm….I may have followed you home a couple of times, but you didn’t give me any choice because you aren’t talking to me. Now, can I come in?” He said nonchalant.

“No you cannot come in my house and I would appreciate it if you just left me alone and stay out of my life!!” I whispered screamed at him because I live in an apartment and my neighbors are nosy as hell.

“Please. I just want to talk”

“No”

“Please!!!”

“Fine, but if you say or do one wrong thing, you’re out.”

When he came in, he just sat on my sofa and waited for me to finish studying.

Joshua POV

She looked so beautiful just sitting there studying.

I can’t believe that I treated her like that, I just hope she doesn’t hate me forever.

I have always loved her long black hair, her beautiful eyes that change colors and when she smiled it lights up my world, she has this curvy body that I would just love to touch, and she is probably the smartest girl I have ever met.

I have always admired how strong she is because no matter how many times my family said cruel things to her, she never stopped being by my side.

2 hours later

“Okay I’m finished” she said looking at me

“Oh…What do you want to do now? Talk?”

“Talk? About what”

“Us”

“O-Okay” she said stuttering.

“I’ll start. I’m sorry for everything. I was more worried about my popularity and impressing people than you and I know that that was wrong of me to do. I am sorry for the names I called you, the rumors I started about you, and for putting my hands on you those couple of times. Do you forgive me?” I said hoping she would.

“That’s all you are sorry for?” she said.

“Ummm…yeah. I can’t think of anything else” I answered confused.

“What about you taking my virginity during junior year? What about you tricking me into thinking that night meant something to you because it did to me? Oh and who can forget you taking my virginity as a part of a bet?!?!

“I-I-I know and I’m sorry for that too, but I can assure you that it meant something to me too and I didn’t even take the money. I’m sorry. I’m so so so sorry. I said hoping she would forgive me now.

She just stared at me looking for any flaws in my apology and she stayed like that for 5 minutes until she finally said something.

“Ok. I forgive you, but don’t mess this up.”

I was the happiest man alive because I wasn’t really expecting that and hugged her so tight and long to make up for lost years between us.

6 months later

Alexandria POV

Things between me and Joshua have been really good, he is so nice to me, and he even helped me find a better job than stripping which was a job at Bank of America in the Merrill Lynch department. Thank God.

I also graduated with my associate and bachelor’s degree which will help me get better jobs in the future.

Even though all this good stuff was happening, I can’t help but feel that something bad is going to happen.

But maybe I’m just being paranoid.

“Hey Josh” I said as I greeted him so he could take me home since I don’t have a car yet.

“Hey beautiful” he smiled.

The car ride was a comfortable silence.

When he stopped in front pf my house, I was about to get out the car when he asked me to stay because he needed to talk to me.

“What’s wrong” I asked

“Well…Since we have been going so good for the last 6 months and we reconnected, I was wondering if you would be my…girlfriend.

“Ummm…..”
