Narrator’s POV

The next morning Alexandria and Joshua woke up and ate breakfast together.

Alexandria was so sore that Joshua drew them a bath and they just sat there talking and laughing about random things.

Alexandria finally knew that this was the guy for her even though it’s only been two months, she knows.

Joshua feels the same exact way and he had a plan the after a year of dating, he was going to propose. All he was thinking was, would she say yes?

They spent the whole day together because they knew that all week they would not see each other.

During the week…

Since Alexandria has a car, Joshua did not have to pick her up. They talked on the phone and texted, they talked about work and what they were going to do when they saw each other.

They did this every time they did not see each other.

But there is always something or someone that tries to mess good things up.

6 months later

Alexandria’s POV

Things between me and Joshua are great.

We spend our time together when we aren’t working or he doesn’t have to go on a business trips and he is an awesome boyfriend.

He also treats me really well, we even moved in together or more like I moved in with him because he was tired of going back and forth.

Saturday Morning…

“Hey babe. What are you cooking?” He asked me wrapping his hands around my waist.

“Pancakes, eggs, and bacon.”

“That sounds good.”

He leaned against the counter just staring at me.

“What?”

“You look really pretty,” He said smiling at me.

“Oh…really?”

“Yeah. You’re glowing.”

“Well, thanks. You look pretty too”

“Thanks. I try.”

After we ate breakfast, I started feeling really nauseous.

Then all of a sudden, I had to throw up so I ran to the bathroom and threw up. Joshua was in the shower, but jumped out because he saw me throwing up and held my hair.

“Are you okay?”

He asked me after I was finished.

“Umm I think so.”

“Do you think you’re pregnant?” He said while drying off.

“No. We were careful. Right?”

“I mean yeah, but condoms break.”

Oh God. I love Joshua, but I don’t think I’m ready for a baby.

Is he even ready for a baby?

Joshua’s POV

We both got dressed and went to Walgreens to get a pregnancy test, but instead of getting one, Alex got 5.

We went home and she was freaking out because of how scared she was of being pregnant.

So after she peed on all 5, we waited.

She could not even sit down, she just kept pacing back and forth.

“Babe I doubt you’re pregnant. Maybe your stomach just couldn’t hold down your food.”

“But what if I am pregnant. We are not ready. I’m not ready. We haven’y even been dating for that long, 9 months we have been da-“

Ding

The time was up and she and I walked into the bathroom and saw that all the tests were negative.

“See?”

“Ok. That’s good because we were not ready for a baby.” She said and then walked to the living room.

I just stared at the tests and became very disappointed because I’m ready for a baby with her. She’s the love of my life and I wanted a baby.

“Babe, what are you doing?” I hear her yell.

“Umm…nothing. I coming.”

When I went in there, I sat down and just stared at her.

“What?”

“I was ready.”

“Ready for what?”

“A baby.”
