Part 18

Once they got home, Alexandria gave Heaven a bath and put her to bed.

When she went into the room, Joshua was standing at the edge of the bed.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Sorry I cried."

He walked over to her and put his hands on her arms.

"You don't have to be sorry. Okay? They just don't care so we are officially done with them as of tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?"

"Yeah. I'm going to go talk to them."

"About?"

"What happened. They need to understand that I'm never leaving you and my baby just because they don't like you. They are becoming a real nuisance to us."

She understood that he wanted to go talk to them, but she didn't think it would be a good idea.

"Are you going to come with me?"

"Joshua I can't."

"Why?"

"The baby."

"I can have my grandparents watch her."

"If you really want me to come, I will."

The Next Day...

Alexandria and Joshua took Heaven to his grandparent's house.

They were happy to watch her until they got back.

Once they got to the coffee shop they were meeting his parents at, she grabbed his hand so tight.

"Don't be nervous babe."

They sat down and ordered.

It was a very awkward silence so Joshua broke the silence.

"I think you guys owe Alex an apology."

They looked at him like he was crazy.

His mom started laughing and said, "Josh we aren't apologizing to this bitch."

"This is my wife not a bitch. Respect her or we are leaving."

"So you are going to give up your family for her."

"I'm not giving you guys up. I just want you guys to accept her because she really is a wonderful girl. If you guys would give her a chance you will see that."

Joshua really loved his family, but if they weren't willing to accept her then he was going to be picking his wife over them.

"Okay Josh, we will try."

"Seriously?"

"No! We will never do that."

"Okay baby let's go."

Alexandria and Joshua left and went to go and pick up the baby.

To say Joshua was angry was an under statement.

But he knew he could never change their mind so he was officially giving up with his family. He was not about to risk hurting his wife because they couldn't even be corgial with her.

Joshua was done with them and knew he would never look back.

The Next Day...

Alexandria knew how sad Joshua was after yesterday so after feeding and changing the baby, she made him his favorite breakfast.

Pancakes, sausage, eggs, and French toast.

When she went up there, he was still asleep so she sat the tray on the bed and got on top of him.
