1 month later
Alexandria was so nervous because the wedding was in a month.
She had everything ready.
She had the place, her bridesmaids (two women from work and one woman form the strip club she used to work at), Joshua had his best man and his groomsmen. The people that were doing the food, were on board and know what she wanted for food.
The only thing she had left was the dress.
She was 7 months now and she was huge so she was bringing two of the bridesmaids, Chrissy and Jackie, to help her.
We had already been there for an hour and all the dresses were either to tight or too lose.
“Alex I think this dress is going to be perfect,” Jackie said.
“I hope you guys are right.”
She was not sure if she liked it when she saw it, but when she put it on, it was gorgeous. One of the ladies who worked there helped her put the dresses on.
“This is a perfect dress for you,” The lady who worked there said smiling.
When she walked out, Chrissy and Jackie were amazed at how beautiful she looked.
“What? It looks horrible on me?” She said worried.
“No you look so pretty. Joshua is going to love you in the dress,” Chrissy said.
She looked in the mirror and saw this beautiful person in front of her.
Alexandria has changed ever since she stopped stripping and dating Joshua. Now she was getting married and having a baby.
She was excited, but scared of being a mother.
As you can tell, her mom isn’t exactly the best role model so she was terrified of being a mom and messing up.
Joshua always reminded her that she was going to be a great mother and wife.
He always made her feel good about herself and she loved that most about him.
Now she had to pick the dresses for the bridesmaids.
Chrissy and Jackie helped her pick them and they tried them on.
Both of them looked great in them, but she had to call the last girl, Christiana so she could try on the dress.
She got there within an hour and she too looked great in the dress.
The women she worked with paid for their dresses, but Christiana couldn’t so Alexandria paid for it.
They were friends when Alexandria was stripping, but after she left they lost touch and she wanted Christiana to be in her wedding.
The four women drove separate cars and drove home.
Joshua was at home after work was done.
He and his groomsmen didn’t have to go buy suits because they all wore suits to work everyday.
“Hey Alex. Did you find the dresses?” Joshua said.
“Yes and they look perfect,” Alexandria said excitedly.
“That’s good.”
“Alex I know that you invited people from work and so did I, but don’t you want at least some of your family there?”
“I called my sister and my older brother. They are coming, but for the rest of my family, they don’t want anything to do with me.”
“Okay baby. Thank you for doing that.”
“Your welcome. I know how much it meant to you.” She looked at him and wondered something.
“Joshua. I know you said that your family didn’t want to come, but is there anybody from your family you want to invite last minute. I can squeeze them at our table.”
“Ummm…I guess my Grandpa and Grandma.”
“Really? They don’t disagree with you getting married to me?”
“No they always told me that we would end up together but I guess I didn’t when we were younger.”
“Do you want to go to their house tomorrow?”
“Sure. It’ll be fun and they aren’t racist assholes like my other family.”
“Are they your mom’s parents?”
“Surprisingly yes.”
“Are they sure they came home with the right baby?”
They both laughed.
Alexandria was not scared because Joshua said they weren’t like his other family, but she just hoped that they never found out about her being a stripper.
There’s not a lot of grandparents that want their grandchild getting married to a stripper.
The Next Day
Alexandria had to go to a doctor’s appointment and Joshua went with her.
The baby was doing okay and she was the perfect size for 7 months.
Joshua drove to his grandparent’s house and when they got there she was so nervous.
“Why are you nervous Alex? They are going to love you.”
As they were walking up the walkway, Alexandria’s heart was beating so fast especially when Joshua knocked on the door and it opened.
“Hey grandpa.”
“Joshua? Hey, how are you?” Grandpa said while hugging Joshua.
“George who’s at the-“
“Joshua? Come and give your grandma a hug.”
They hugged while Alexandria stood back watching the interaction.
“Grandpa, Grandma I want to introduce you guys to someone. This is my fiancée Alexandria.”
“Is this the Alex that was your childhood friend?”
“Yes Grandma.”
“Oh it’s nice to see you sweetie.”
They both gave her a hug and they sat a talked for a while.
“Our wedding is next month. Would you guys like to come?” Alexandria said hoping they would say yes.
“Of course we would love to come because we know your other family isn’t going. Right?”
“Yeah they don’t like Alex that much, but that’s okay because I love her.”
Alexandria and Joshua kissed and smiled at each other.
“You guys remind me of us when we were young,” Grandma said smiling.
They left around 8 p.m. and got home at around 9:30 p.m.
Joshua carried Alex in and laid her in the bed. He undressed her and put her pajamas on, he did the same, and went to go eat.
“Joshua?”
“Oh hey baby.”
“What are you eating?”
“Just some of the leftover burgers you made. I made it how you like. It’s in the microwave.”
“Thanks.”
They started eating and he was staring at her.
“Why are you staring at me?”
“I just can’t wait.”
“For what?”
“To call you my wife and the baby’s born.” He got on his knees and kissed her stomach.
“Me either future husband.”
What the wedding dress looks like. I will show what the bridesmaids dresses look like. Also it would be nice if you guys commented on what you think about the story, but if you don't want to, that's fine too. :)
