Finally the day has come.
The wedding is today and Alexandria was excited but nervous.
“Are you excited?” Christiana said while doing Alexandria’s hair.
“Yeah. I’m happy, scared, excited, and nervous.”
“I’m happy for you. I’m happy you made it out.”
“What?”
“You finally found your guy and a new job. I knew you weren’t going to be a stripper forever.”
Alexandria got up from the chair and hugged her.
After she was finished, she got her makeup done and put on her dress.
The women getting ready, all together took them 3 hours.
Joshua and his friends took 30 minutes and now he was talking to Derek.
“Are you okay?”
Derek was worried about his friend because he was pacing around and talking to himself.
“Yeah. I just scared.”
“Why? You have her already, this should be a happy day.”
“What if something bad happens? Or she has cold feet and leaves me?”
“Joshua, you’re freaking out for no reason. Just sit down and calm down.”
After a couple a minutes, Joshua finally calmed down.
“Okay, come on. It’s time,” Chrissy says.
He stood out there waiting for Alexnadria.
The music started and everybody stood up.
There she was, in her dress with her makeup and hair beautifully done.
He was amazed that she got more beautiful to him everyday.
When she stood in front of him, he started crying.
She looked absolutely beautiful.
When she got up to him, she wiped his tears, smiled, and grabbed his hands.
They whispered hi to each other and the pastor started his wedding service.
We are gathered here today, on this happy and joyous occasion, to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony.
Marriage is a solemn institution to be held in honor by all, it is the cornerstone of the family and of the community. It requires of those who undertake it a complete and unreserved giving of one's self. It is not to be entered into lightly, as marriage is a sincere and mutual commitment to love one another. This commitment symbolizes the intimate sharing of two lives and still enhances the individuality of each of you.
Groom, do you take this woman to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
“I do,” Joshua said smiling at Alexandria.
Bride, do you take this man to be your wedded husband? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
“I do,” Alexandria said smiling at Joshua.
Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
They kissed and then picked her up while walking down the aisle.
Everybody followed them out to the car they would take to the reception and while they were walking they threw the rice.
Once they got in the car, they smiled at each other and both finally realized they were married now.
They said to each other.
“I love you Mrs.Robinson.”
“I love you too Mr.Robinson.”
Once they got to the reception, she was the happiest she has ever been.
She changed into something more comfortable.
She was dancing with her bridesmaids and with people from Joshua’s job.
Finally that moment came, the dance of the day.
The music slowed down and Joshua grabbed Alexandria’s hand and they started dancing.
“I can’t wait when she’s born, then everything will be perfect,” Joshua whispered in her ear.
“I know right.”
“This was the best day of my life.”
They continued dancing, eating, and laughing until it was time to go home.
Both of them were finally happy and they were excited to see what the future holds.
What she changed into is on the side.
