I must admit to a soft spot for Norrington. And let's face it, Jack Davenport is quite lovely. So, I thought I'd give the Commodore an imagine of his own. I hope that you enjoy.
"SHIP AHOY!" A voice called out from the crow's nest. Gibbs looking up to the man perched high above the deck.
"WHERE AWAY?" Gibbs enquired, as he moved from the wheel.
"STARBOARD BOW" The voice replied, the first mate looking over to where Jack was watching over the ex-Commodore Norrington, who was scrubbing the deck. The pirate captain apparently not hearing a word that was called out.
Gibb shook his head and reached for his glass. A small subtle smile creeping across his lips as he saw the ship bearing down on them at some speed. The name, and the figurehead, ones that he hadn't seen in some time. But was quite looking forward to seeing up close once again.
"What is it?" Will asked, as he came up behind the first mate of the Black Pearl.
"That lad, is the Lucky Lady. And Jack won't feel so lucky when it catches up to us." Gibbs chuckled, as he called out to lower the mainsail.
"Why won't Jack be so lucky. And why are we letting that ship catch up to us?" Will asked. Getting more than a sense that Gibbs was up to something.
"Well, firstly, because I've known tha captain of that ship since she were a lass. And I ain't seen her in many a year. And secondly, because last time I did see her, Jack unbeknownst to her, used her as a stake in a card game. A game he lost. Despite saying that there was no way he could. Jack deserves a kick up tha backside. And she is just the girl ta do it." Gibbs told Will, as he handed him his spy glass. Will's eyes on the beautifully carved female figurehead that graced the ship.
"Who is this captain?" An intrigued Will enquired, as he turned his gaze from the quickly approaching ship.
"Why have we lowered tha mast, Mister Gibbs?" Jack questioned, as he came up behind the two men. The sudden entrance of the captain preventing Will from getting his information. Gibbs smiling as he answered his friends query with one word.
"(Y/n)."
"What?" Jack spluttered out. As he reached for his glass. Fumbling as he spied the name of the ship.
"Raise the sail. RAISE THE SAIL!" Jack called out frantically. The crew looking between the captain, and the first mate, as Gibbs ordered them to keep it down.
"She's gonna catch up with us either way, Captain. Its better not to run. It'll only make her angrier." Gibbs reasoned, as Jack tried to hide behind some barrels of rum.
"She'll kill me. I know she's gonna kill me." Jack rambled as he tried to pull a pile of ropes over his head. Norrington staring at the pirate, as he climbed up the wooden steps to the helm. His bucket of water and scrubbing brush in hand.
"And what is wrong with him? I mean, apart from the obvious." Norrington scoffed, as he looked over to where Will stood. The blacksmith obviously as bemused as Norrington.
"Why does it have to be (Y/n)? I'd prefer Jones over (Y/n)." Jack babbled out. Norrington and Will both now looking at Gibbs for clarification.
"And whom might this (Y/n) be? And why does she have our brave, and fearless captain, quivering like a child, under a pile of ropes at the mere mention of her name?" Norrington enquired sarcastically, as he dropped his bucket of water to the deck. Jack reaching out, emptying the liquid onto the boards, and placing the empty bucket over his head.
"Ah, (Y/n). Or should I say, (Y/n) Sparrow. Captain of the Lucky Lady, and daughter of one Jack Sparrow." Gibbs chuckled. As both Will and Norrington stared, mouths agog, at the first mate.
