(Y/n) walked into her penthouse apartment that overlooked Central Park. It might not be much compared to Stark Tower. But (Y/n) had never felt the need to be quite as ostentatious as Stark. Pandora had grown from nothing, steadily finding its place in the world. And she would rather reinvest the money that the company was making into further research, than spend it on anything quite so ridiculous as a huge tower emblazoned with her name.
"Good evening Miss (Y/n). Did you enjoy the party?" A voice enquired. (Y/n) turning and smiling, as the biohybrid cyborg reached out and helped her take off the large coat that help shield her against the inclement New York autumn weather.
"As well as could be expected. Thank you, Watson. Anything happened while I've been out?" (Y/n) enquired as she took the pad from Watson's hand. A hologram appearing and showing her the latest reports and advances that Pandora had made during the day.
"Nothing that requires your immediate attention, ma'am, no. Though Doctor Schultz did want to know how the implants had worked." The hybrid android told her. (Y/n) smiling broadly as she made her way over to the large windows and looked out onto the lights of the city.
"The EEG disruptor and replicator worked perfectly. It completely interrupted Stark's brain computer interface with his own suit. And the armour took my commands as if they had been coming from their designer himself. The from the hand implants will most certainly have broken down and altered the particle of the metal in his suit. But I didn't stay long enough to see the result. Although I am sure that I will have answers for Schulz when I return to deal with Stark on Monday." (Y/n) informed her creation. A "man" that was not only her personal assistant, but also her bodyguard and man Friday.
(Y/n) had been working to perfect Watson for years. He was one of a kind. The human like hybrid now indistinguishable from all those around him. And he had become more a friend than a machine.
"Will you be requiring anything else, ma'am?" Watson enquired, as (Y/n) turned back to look at him.
"No. But I will need to rise early in the morning. I want to get into the labs before everyone else. I need to do more work with the nanoparticle suspender and fix a couple of bugs in the proton equation. As well as make some minor alterations to the accelerator. So, I would appreciate it if you would drive me. It will give me a chance to get some work done, and I can hit the ground running." (Y/n) replied, knowing that she wanted to have as much in place before she returned to aid the Avengers and continue to show Stark which of them really did have the superior intellect.
"Of course, ma'am. It will be my pleasure. I will just go and inform Doctor Schultz of your findings with the implants." Watson informed her. The cyborg making his way over to the door.
"Watson!" (Y/n) called out. Her eyes trained back on the metropolis outside.
"Yes ma'am."
"Thank you." (Y/n) continued. Watson smiling and nodding respectfully before leaving the room to undertake his last duties of the day.
"Damn you Stark!" (Y/n) exclaimed as she looked out onto the bright lights that illuminated the tower, that was situated a little over five miles away from her own apartment.
"Why do you still have to look quite so good? Why couldn't you have grown fat, bald, and ugly." She groaned, as she leant against the window. Her head filled with thoughts of the night's events.
She had enjoyed making a fool of Stark. Enjoyed watching the great Iron Man squirm as his own suit wouldn't, or thanks to her at least, couldn't, receive his commands. She had got a sick kind of thrill from watching him stare in complete disbelief as she had made his armour into her own puppet, without any obvious signs of how she was doing it. And she also knew that everything that she had shown Stark, Rhodey, the Avengers and Director Fury was just the tip of the iceberg of what Pandora, and she herself could do.
To many it may be lunacy, but when Pandora had made advances in the area of creating superior bionic soldiers, that were not only resistant to pain but could also be fitted with microchips that would enhance brain power and cerebral capacity. (Y/n) had volunteered to be the first guinea pig, determined that she would not let others suffer if the whole experiment had gone wrong. Yet she had been lucky, everything had proved to work seamlessly. And as more technology had been produced, she was always the first to test it. So, when Schulz had told her about his teams work with the EEG disruptor and replicator, as well as the nanoparticle beams that could destroy and reconfigure the particles in anything they touched. (Y/n) knew that it would be one of the best ways for her to get her revenge on Anthony Edward Stark, for all those years that had spent teasing her.
She had wanted to completely destroy him at the party. But as she had stood toe to toe with him, looking into his deep brown eyes. Enjoying being able to experience the thrill of their verbal battles once agian, he had been able to make her think twice, without even having to say a word. It wasn't that she had hated Tony when they were at MIT, it was just that they were two sides of the same coin. She was the quiet studious type. The one that spent her nights with her head in a book, and her days studying and working on some latest invention or theory in the labs. The one that all the boys saw as dull, boring and mousey. Stark on the other hand, was the good time guy. That one with the name and the money behind him. The one that had never had to work a day in his life for everything that he had. She wouldn't admit it, but she had been a little jealous, wishing that she could be just a little more like him. He had been handsome, popular, and funny, when he wasn't being such a jerk. But to her he always seemed to have been a jerk. And if it hadn't been for Rhodey stepping in more than once as they had fought, (Y/n) could swear that she would have happily strangled the smug playboy.
Sometimes she had wished that she could have been one of the girls that he seemed to always be drawn to. To find herself on the handsome boy's arm. But the more that he had teased her about her supposed inadequacies, the more that she had wanted to show him who truly was the superior mind. And when she had the chance tonight, she had not taken it completely. Allowing instead her mind to fill with thoughts of drowning in those beautiful brown orbs of his.
"It won't happen again Stark. I am not going to let that smile of yours stop me from proving to all that not only is Pandora Enterprises superior to Stark Industries. But also, that I am still greater than you." (Y/n) hissed at the tower, before slowly making her way over to the small bar in the room and pouring herself a drink.
"Here's to you, Tony Stark. And here's to me, finally being able to put you in your place." (Y/n) said. Raising her glass in salute, before downing its contents. Looking forward to Monday more than she previously had.
