A/n: I just want to make you aware, that I will be doing small time jumps when you see this : -•- it means there will be a jump. Btw this is going to be a longer chapter as a bit of a bonus due to the inconsistent updates!
At the minute there is no time jump yet... it will be in the next chapter xx

*Annabella's POV*

I was wearing the emerald dress. The family gathering hadn't exactly gone to plan, I had lost my temper and Lucius had caught me grinding on Draco's lap, as well as finding out he was keeping something about a bloody shop from me. I mean, it was weird but I didn't question it. It's a creepy shop and he's a creepy bloke. I was now gazing into my bedroom mirror as I watched Draco's hands delicately place the necklace his parents gave me around my neck. He went to remove his gift to me but I stopped him, holding his hand in place.

"No, leave it on please."

"Why?" He looked perplexed. I tucked it gently underneath the other slightly chunkier necklace to hide it so as it wouldn't look weird.

"Because I like this one better and I want it on." I stated simply.

"Okay... You look stunning by the way. Did you know?" He muttered in my ear, eyes still firmly fixed on the mirror in front of us, locking his gaze with mine. His hand made small patterns on my waist, tracing the lace detailing of the dress.

I smirked, "You have said that seven times now..." I giggled as he tightly hugged me from behind.

"I know! It's because it's true." He spun me round and leant in for a kiss but I pressed a finger to his lips.

"Ah ah ah, not so quickly, Malfoy. I don't want you to ruin my makeup." I put it simply, making sure he understood that it was not up for debate. He grumbled in annoyance, pouting his lips slightly and letting his hands hang low beside his body.

Merlin, he can be like a petulant toddler! Get a grip man!

I was wearing a glowy, natural makeup look. I decided it would look best and compliment my dress nicely. I didn't want to be too over the top. After all, who was I going to impress? Yes, there were going to be reporters for the Daily Prophet, there always are when there is a Malfoy party, there would probably be some  'ex' Death Eaters too, some of Lucius's ministry friends and maybe a few professors. But no one else of much importance, apart from friends. I asked Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe&Goyle and Nott to attend and I had also invited Padma Patil and her twin sister Partvati. I had grown quite fond of Padma (we were partners in Astronomy) and I said her sister could come too, the more the merrier! I think that's what the muggles say at least? I also decided to invite Luna Lovegood, she lived not too far away and I had always been friendly with her -much to Draco's disapproval, he thought she was 'looney' but I thought she was just different... in a good way. If we were all the same the world would be a very boring place that's for sure! Luna was a year below me but it didn't matter, we got on quite well and I thought she and her father would like to attend. Lucius frowned upon my decision but Narcissa told him to "put a sock in it!" and agreed that they were all very welcome to attend.

"Hello? Earth to Bella?" An all too familiar voice snapped me from my thoughts. I spun around and bounded over to the boy in front of me, enveloping him in a hug. It was Blaise.

"What are you doing here? You are ten minutes early!" I asked looking into his warm brown eyes.

"I thought I would come and see if you guys needed any more help setting up or doing final touches. I know what Narcissa is like. Oh and by the way... HAPPY BIRTHDAY" He offered his help before screaming his happy birthday message at the top of his lungs. Much to Draco's dismay as he covered his ears dramatically.
