*Annabella's POV*
The sound of the cane hitting the floor woke me from my sleep. The rhythmical tapping making me jolt awake, eyes wide with fear, as the noise grew closer and closer to the door. It was now morning. Draco and I had missed dinner due to falling asleep from last night's activities. I placed my hand atop Draco's arm that was resting on and around my waist.
"I know. I hear him too. Don't worry, what ever you do, do not show any fear or panic." He quickly hushed in my ear before adding, "Oh, and it is probably best we pretend we are asleep. Close your eyes, make him think he has woken us..."
I shut my eyes just in time, as Lucius entered the room just milliseconds later. The sound of him approaching only unnerved me further but I made sure my face did not falter once from its peaceful sleeping expression.
"Umm... wake up... please..." I struggled not to laugh as I heard Lucius audibly uncomfortable with trying to 'wake me up'. I decided to mess about a little, allowing some of my immaturity to come back, and stayed pretending to be asleep, moving closer and snuggling into Draco's chest with a hand on his shoulder. A cold hand pressed gently against my back and ran up and down it as Lucius spoke once more.
"Annabella? Bella? Bells? Please wake up... it's urgent!" He now began to shake me awake until I was forced to meet my green eyes with his cold grey ones.
"Lucius? What do you want?" I strained out in my normal groggy morning voice, beginning to sit up in bed, using the duvet to cover my still-exposed body.
"No time for questions. It is your father... He wants to speak with you. Get changed quickly, do not bother with anything too extravagant, he said he will only be ten minutes. Narcissa informed us all about last night with Draco. Good luck."
Shit... Dad is going to kill me...
A/n: sorry this chapter is so short, I just felt it was important to put something small in for the time being. There is so much coming up... you lot won't be ready for it hahah!
