*Annabella's POV*
Walking out of the side street and onto the main road, I felt Draco's hand squeeze mine, I did the same in return. He then did it twice again and I returned the same pattern. We continued to do this back and forth while we wandered around the bustling city rather aimlessly; it was something we had always done since we were just young children. The both of us did it as a form of comfort when we were anxious or needed a pick-me-up, it was that or tracing patterns with our fingers on each other's backs. I remembered mainly doing it if Lucius and Narcissa were ever fighting, we would lock ourselves in the library in the east wing of the Manor and sit ourselves on the settee and play silly little games like hide and seek or wizard's chess... or the hand squeezing and the pattern tracing.
The pair of us rounded a corner and the warm summer air hit my body, causing the trousers on my jumpsuit to billow in the wind. We were facing a rather large pillar with a tiny man standing atop it.
"Draco..... What is that little man doing standing on that pillar? Surely he will fall from the wind?" I asked, anxiety riddling my body and anticipating a nasty fall.
"Bella..."
"Yes?"
"That's a statue..."
"Oh..."
There was an awkward pause before I let out an exasperated sigh of something like 'muggles are weird'
A/n: sorry this chapter is so short, I haven't had much motivation but I promise there is something big coming soon xx
