Caleb walked down the front steps.  It was the last day of school, and he knew that if he didn't do it today, he wouldn't ever do it.

He looked around in the crowd for the beautiful golden locks. And then he found them. Annabeth Chase was sat on a wall near the parking lot. She was (as always) buried deep into a book. Her bag was on the floor resting next to the wall.

"Annabeth!" He called. She couldn't hear him. Probably too engrossed in the book. Just then, a large van pulled up. Across the side, in big red letters were the words: Delphi Strawberry Fields.

Why would the school be ordering Strawberry's? Caleb started to walk over to Annabeth a little quicker. She was still engrossed in her book. Finally, he made it over to her. He knew not to bother he while she was reading, so instead, He sat at the bottom of the wall, and waited for her to get down.

Then, the van door opened. The first person out was a girl. She looked around fifteen or sixteen years old and very goth like, except for a silver tiara and bracelet. She looked angry, and Caleb decided that she was not someone to be messed with.

Next out, was (what Caleb assumed to be) a Latino boy , who had a head of curly brown hair. He had a mischievous smile as he stared at Annabeth and that made me a little worried. The punk and the Latino walked around to the back of the van and opened the doors. Seven people stepped out.

The first of them, of them was a boy with dazzling blue eyes and blonde hair. He held hands with a girl who was very pretty with brown hair and very tanned skin, like she was native American.

After them, came a huge dude with a very round baby face that didn't match his muscular frame. He also held hands with someone. She was a girl with dark skin, curly hair and piercing golden eyes.

Next a guy with crutches came out. He looked a lot older than the others. He was being helped out of the van by another guy who's mood seemed to match the goth girls, but he had paler skin than her.

By that point everyone in the parking lot had stopped talking, and was staring at the van and the people who had come out.

The last person to emerge was a boy. He had messy black hair and sea green eyes that immediately fixed on Annabeth. He had tanned skin, and was taller than everyone there (apart from the big guy with the baby face).

The only person who wasn't staring at them was Annabeth who (surprise, surprise) was still reading. And then, Caleb realised that they were all staring at her.

"Can I?" whispered the Latino to the guy with the sea green eyes. In response, the guy with the green eyes laughed and nodded his head. The Latino crept froward towards Annabeths bag. Before Caleb could realise what was going on, the Latino snatched the bag from the floor and jumped on top of the van.

"Hey, wise girl," He shouted, "Got your bag!"

"Hey! Only I'm allowed to call her that," snapped the guy with messy black hair,

"Whatever Percy. Bad boy supreme don't play by the rules," He said gesturing to himself.

"Leo-" Said the guy called Percy, but Leo turned around and folded his arms like a toddler having a tantrum. While all of this was going on, Annabeth had shut her book and hopped down from the wall,

"Umm... guys, what are you doing?" She asked. Instantly, everyone turned to look at her. Their faces broke into grins and they all hugged her with shouts of, "Annabeth!" and, "Great to see you!"

Caleb stared at these people, dumbfounded. How was he meant to ask her out now?

"What's Leo doing with my bag?" She asked. Leo, who hadn't realised that she was there, was now dancing around and shaking his butt on top of the van,

"Leo!" Yelled the Native American girl. Leo stopped what he was doing and turned to face her

"Hey Pipes, what up?" And then he noticed Annabeth, who was glaring at him. Quickly, he scuttled down the van and handed her her bag. She took it still glaring at him, and he shrank back. Then, her face lit up ad she pulled him into a big bear hug.

Someone cleared their throat, and they all looked around to Percy, who was stood with raised eyebrows. Annabeth smiled and ran to him, tackling him into a huge hug and then kissing him. Everyone rolled their eyes and scoffed, apart from the Native American girl who clasped her hands together and sighed.

"Come on, guys get a room," said the punk girl,

"Shut up, Thals," Said Percy and he and Annabeth broke apart. Everyone began to clamber into the van until only Percy and Annabeth were left. Nervously, Caleb walked up to her. What was he meant to do? She had just made out with some guy in the middle of the parking lot. He couldn't ask her out now,

"Hey Caleb," Annabeth smiled as she saw him approach. Caleb stomach did a flip as she said his name.

"Hey, Annabeth," He said with a small voice, "I just wanted to say-"

Percy tightened his grip on her waist and stared at at Caleb threateningly,

"I just wanted to say have a great summer, " Caleb finished before running of into the crowd of people, leaving a very confused Annabeth to climb into the van.
