"And that's the canoe lake," Said Travis Stoll as he and Connor finished showing me around Half-Blood camp. It was my second day - technically. At 11:00 pm last night, I had arrived after being chased by an... empousa, I think?

Suddenly, someone caught my eye. She was beautiful. She was sat at the edge of the pier, looking into the water.

She had perfectly tanned skin and her curly golden hair flowed like a waterfall down her back. She had startling grey eyes, that made me think of a trapped storm, raging to get out. She was dressed in Greek sandals and denim shorts, with a plain white blouse.

"Who is that?" I asked, stunned. Connor followed my gaze and smirked,

"That's Annabeth," He replied.

"What's her deal?" I asked, dumbfounded. I didn't take my eyes off of her.

"STOLLS!" I heard someone roar from the lake. The Stolls gulped in unison.

"That's her deal," He replied, pointing to the guy who was storming up to us. He had unruly raven black hair and mesmerising eyes, that looked like blue and green were fighting for dominance, but they were cold and full of anger.

"Hey Percy," Said Travis, but his voice was small.

"What's this I hear about a spider in the Athena cabin?" He asked.  His voice was calm, but it was laced with poison. They shot each other a fearful glance,

"Does the name arachne ring any bells?" He hissed. Suddenly, a wave of 10 ft tall rose up from the lake, and the Stolls were snatched into it. I stood there gaping. Percy turned to me, all the anger from his face had been replaces with humiliation,

"I'm Percy Jackson," He said offering his hand,

"What did you do?" I shrieked. He shrugged,

"The Stolls'll be fine,"

"Not the Stolls," I yelled, "What about the girl!"

When the wave had swept over the twins, it had taken her as well.

"Why would I do that to Annabeth? I did that for Annabeth," He said, smirking,

"Message received," grumbled a dripping wet Connor and he stumbled towards us,

"Rule number one of pranking?" Said Percy expectantly,

"Don't prank Annabeth," Murmured Travis. Percy smiled,

"Very good,"

"Where's the girl?" I shouted in Percy's face. The Stolls pursed their lips in unison,

"Hey, I would not  piss off Percy Jackson," Travis warned and Connor nodded,

"I don't care! This who this guy is! He just pulled that girl into the lake and she's not come back up yet!" I yelled.

"You know," Said Percy, his voice threateningly calm, "I'd be more worried about pissing off Annabeth Jackson," His eyes were looking past me. I turned around and there she was... dry as a bone. I blinked,

"How...? What...? How?"

"Three excellent questions!" Said the girl drily. She walked past me and put her arm around Percy's waist. I rolled my eyes and wandered off. So her name was Annabeth Jackson? She must be that Percy guys sister.

That night, at the campfire, I was claimed by the Hermes cabin.

"Hey umm... Annabeth?" I asked as I approached the daughter of Athena. She was, as usual, sat on the pier reading. She looked up,

"I just wanted to apologise for the way I acted the other day," I muttered. Annabeth smiled at me,

"Thanks, that okay. I can be quite protective of Percy sometimes... and vise versa," She chuckled. I grinned at her,

"Yeah, I can be pretty protective of my half-sister back at home," I agreed, sitting down next to her. Annabeth looked at me, a little confused.

"Okay," She said slowly.

"You like architecture, right?" She nodded, "Me too," I said, and we began to talk for a while. Okay, so what if it was a lie? So what if I didn't care about crown mouldings or building structures? But I had done some research.

After around five minutes of talking (mostly on her part) a boy with black hair and sea green eyes burst out of the water. Annabeth let out a small laugh.

"Are you and your brother close?" I asked. Annabeth looked at me questioningly.

"I guess," She sounded confused, before returning her attention back to Percy. When she looked at him, she blushed a deep red. I looked at him too and saw the the lake had risen to form a huge heart.

"Really  close," I muttered under my breath.

"What?" Asked Annabeth, not even looking at me,

"Nothing," I replied.

"Hey Wise girl," Said Percy from behind us, making me jump.

"Hey Seaweed brain," She replied, standing up to face him. He pulled her in for a hug... before pushing her into the water. He was just about to dive in after her, but I grabbed his arm and spun him around to face me

"Dude, what the hell?" I shouted. Percy looked at me questioningly.

"Seaweed brain," scoffed Annabeth as her head broke the surface. Seriously, what was with these nicknames?

"Well, now you have to come swimming with me," He said smugly. She rolled her eyes,

"Please?" He begged and she glowered in return.

"Not like I have a choice," She laughed.

"Am I missing something here?" I blurted. They both looked at me, as if they had just realise that I was stood there.

Just then, Travis came running up to us,

"Percy, they need you at the big house,"
