When my son came back from the empire state building, he was a little shaken up - he had just killed Kronos, after all. But it was nothing compared to the change in him when he came back from camp that year.

Percy returned about a week before school was due to start. I expected him to be a little more scared, and less sure of himself, after going through a war at age sixteen, but if anything, he seemed happier.

I finally found out what happened, however, when I suggested that he call Grover or Annabeth to see how they were doing. His eyes seemed to light up when I suggested it. I shared a glance with Paul, who looked just as baffled as me.

"Okay, I'm done," Said Percy as he wolfed the rest of his dinner down "Can I go now please?" I stared at him, a little wierded-out. What was going on,

"What's the rush, Percy?" Paul asked. Percy didn't reply, but he drummed his fingers on the table, clearly wanting to get to his room.

"Okay then... You can get down," I said. Before I had even finished my sentence, Percy leapt up from the  table and shot down the hallway to his room,

"Now what was that all about?" I asked Paul. He shrugged at me,

"I have absolutely no clue," That's when I heard Percy talking

"- Please accept my offering. Annabeth Chase, camp half blood," He said. His voice was muffled, seeing as it came from his room. Not wanting to intrude on his conversation, I flicked on the T.V. After about twenty minutes, Percy came out of his room, looking very pleased.

"And what was that all about?" I asked. He flushed a brilliant shade of red, and mumbled something to the floor,

"I'm sorry... what was that? Heh mahe,"  I said, mocking him. He looked up,

"I was just talking to Grover," He lied. I smirked,

"Is that why you asked Iris to show you Annabeth Chase, Camp half blood," Said Paul,

"You were listening?" He asked. Something clicked in my brain.

"You and Annabeth!" I shrieked. Percy and Paul looked at me, dumbfounded. Percy's eyes widened and he blushed profusely.

"I knew it! I told you so, Paul! I guess that's ten dollars that you owe me!" I gasped,

"You had a bet?" Percy asked.

"Hang on! You might not be right, Sally," Said Paul hopefully. We both looked at Percy expectantly.

"It's true," He muttered. I knew it.
