"I know what you will ask," Zeus sighed, "The greatest gift of all. Yes, if you want it, it shall be yours. The Gods have not bestowed this gift on a mortal hero in many centuries, but, Perseus Jackson - if you wish it - you shall be made a God. Immortal. Undying. You shall serve as your fathers lieutenant for all time,"

Percy seemed dumbfounded.

"Umm... A God?" He asked. The king of the Gods rolled his eyes,

"A dimwitted God, apparently. But, yes. With the consensus of the entire council, I can make you immortal. Then I will have to put up with you forever,"

"Hmm," Mused Ares, "That means I can smash him to a pulp as much as often as I want, and he'll just keep coming back for more. I like this idea," I glared at him. He gave me a sheepish smile.

"I approve as well," Said Athena. Her voice was passive as she looked at her daughter who stood at the end of the throne room. She was ghostly pale, and staring at her feet.

I did not approve of this, but Percy had to make the choice. He had to realise now or never, or else all of my hard work would be in vain.

The tension was unbearable. Percy looked back at the daughter of Athena, and one thousand thoughts seemed to swim through his head. I bit my lip.

Make the right choice, Percy. I pleaded. To who I was praying, I didn't know. Myself, maybe. I am, after all, the goddes of love, but I could have no part in this. I would just have to watch.

And watch I did. I watched as the words escaped from Percy's lips,

"No," He said clearly - not a note of hesitation in his voice. Zeus' eyes raged,

"NO... you are turning down out generous offer?" He asked. I had to fight very hard to hold in my squeal.

"I'm honoured and everything... Don't get me wrong. It's just.... I've got a lot of life left to live and I'd hate to peak in my sophmore year," Percy explained. He seemed less certain at this, and I knew why.

Forget peaking in his sophmore year, Percy Jackson knew that he loved Annabeth Chase... he just didn't know that he knew it.

I glanced back at Annabeth. Her eyes were misty, and she was covering her mouth with her hand. She didn't know it either... but she would soon.

Great, now that my OTP are starting to realise (well, Percy is... Annabeth already knew) I zoned out. I always claimed my children, so there wasn't really a problem there. Everything was okay.

This wasn't that interesting, but Ive had it as a draft for ages and I thought, why not? I hope that you enjoyed it! :  )
