I was walking down the street, and I was just outside of Percy's building, just about to leave, when I saw her. She was beautiful. She had that stereotypical Californian girl look, with her gorgeous golden princess curls and perfectly natural tanned skin. But what struck me most were her alluring grey eyes, that set her apart from that stereotype. She was wearing denim shorts and a white blouse with brown Greek sandals. To sum up, she was perfect.
She was walking towards me, dragging a small suitcase along behind her. There was a huge smile plastered on her face. Hurriedly I looked away and remembered that I was just leaving before I saw her and rushed down the street. As I walked, I noticed that I was not the only one staring at her. Either she didn't notice that they were, or she didn't care.
~ One week later ~
"Yeah, okay, I'll be there," I said as I hung up the phone and stuffed it into my back pocket
"You'll be where?" asked my mum suspiciously as she emerged into my room. I rolled my eyes. Why did she always think I was up to something? And why was she always spying on me?
"Percy's having a couple people over tonight," I replied. My mum nodded.
"I like that boy. He's very polite," She said approvingly. I shook my head.
"Okay, mum, thanks,"
~ Time skip to later that night ~
As I walked to Percy's I almost hoped that I would see her again. I didn't know who she was, but I though that there could be a chance. As it turned out, I didn't see her. I rang the buzzer for 22, feeling a little disappointed.
"Hello?" Said the voice on the receiver,
"Hey, Perce, It's Lucas," I replied
"Hey! Come on up," He replied and the door clicked open. As I passed all of the doors, I noticed something that I hadn't realised before.
"Why is your door blue when all of the other are white?" I asked curiously once I was sat down on the sofa at Percy's. He grinned but didn't say anything. As it turns out, Mark and Jayden (our two best friends) were already at his apartment. We sat and talked for a while. Watching T.V and then an angelic voice rang out from down the hallway,
"Seaweed brain? Where is my laptop?" It asked. Percy's eyes widened and he leapt up from the seat.
"I think that it's... um-" She cut him off,
"Did you lose my computer?" She shrieked. Mark and Jayden snickered,
"I didn't lose it. I just... misplaced it," He said as he frantically began to search for it. Mark, Jayden and I were laughing,
"Did you lose your mum's laptop?" Smirked Jayden.
"Not my mum," Growled Percy and he flipped cushions, "My girlfriends... and I didn't lose it" At this, we howled with laughter.
"Not funny guys," Percy muttered as he rummaged round, "Ah ha! I found it!" He said triumphantly as he ran down the hallway and into his room. There were muffled voices coming from the room and then Percy emerged. Following close behind him... was her.
Today, she wore plain leggings and a blue sweatshirt that was a couple sizes too big for her.
"Guys," Said Percy proudly, "This is my girlfriend, Annabeth Chase," Annabeth smiled at us and then turned to Percy,
"Where is my laptop, Seaweed brain?" she said. Her angelic voice was laced with poison.
"I put it in our room," He replied before he turned to us with a smug expression plastered on him face.
"Wow," Said Mark, who looked like he'd just been slapped in the face, "She's hot," Percy grinned,
"Be thankful she didn't hear you say that," He said, "She would kill you," When we began to laugh he said, "Seriously,"
Our room? Girlfriend? Seaweed brain?
"You actually have a girlfriend?" I said, still in awe. Percy nodded and Jayden looked at me weirdly. I shrugged and sat back in my chair. I wondered when I'd meet my Annabeth Chase.
