09. Innocent Criminal

The urn continued to grow

in numbers for over the years—

still remain undiscovered.

Trapped by the bait

with no bails are sent

to the dungeons

for decades without sanctions.

When the body is proven

clean,

fat men

in fit uniform

unlock the bolts—

too late for some

to flap

their wings again

and

fly.

Lives there are wrecked;

Some are paying

the debt they don't owe

as some accept the judgements

not theirs.
