Chapter 6

While that happened, Roxanne's parents arrived to the Scott's mansion and pulled into the driveway as they got of the car to greet them.

"Hello darling, how are you?" Rachel Ritchi greeted before hugging Sarah Scott while her husband Rodney Ritchi shook hands with Daniel Scott.

"Very swell, would you like a cup of tea?" Sarah asked referring to both guests.

"Gladly." Rachel replied before the couples head inside and closed the door behind them.

After fresh hot tea was made and poured into their cups, they all sat on 2 white, luxurious couches and causally talk while sipping on their tea.

"So what is this upbringing convenience really all about anyways?" Rodney asked them.

"You remember my son, Wayne Scott?" Sarah asked both.

"Ah yes, the enduring Metro Man, protector of Metro City. We could never forget a face like that. How is he by the way? We haven't seen him since our children were little kids at a tea party." Rachel asked.

"Ridiculously indecent and outrageous, I would say! We thought that he had retired to some tropical island for a short vacation but instead, he turned out to have been squandering around like some hideous caveman. Doing nothing but eating sandwiches all day and playing his guitar like a disgraceful teenager. But that's not the worst part. It turns out that he purposely quit playing the hero for the city just so he can make distasteful music for a singing career. Ugh, I always wonder how on earth did we raise such a pitiful child like that." Daniel complained.

"My goodness, that sounds like a tragedy. How can we be of any help?" Rachel offered.

"Well I thought that we can announce Metro Man secret return to the city but in a form of a reunion. I'm talking about a huge wedding with flowers and a ceremony. We can even get someone to fix that awful museum and have him shining on top again. It'll be the day that every parent has ever dreamed off!" Sarah announced, excitedly.

"Oh? Why that sounds like a splendid idea. How shall we do it?" Rodney asked.

"Well, first things, first. We need to make a few calls to a few former friends of ours, then we'll have to pay ourselves a visit to the prison." Daniel explained while clasping his hands slyly.

*The scene then shifts in to the prison itself.

Which it was a maximum security building with about 20 guards to surround all areas of the prison wall.

But that's not the worst place to be.

Because inside that prison, where the isolated cell remains, with of course, one sided mirror to watch the perpetrator for any signs of escape, sits a man in deep thought while moving around in his swivel chair.

As he slowly looks up in viewpoint and is revealed to be Hal.

His appearance had changed since the last time that anyone would have seen him during his battle fight with Megamind.

And appeared to have lost some weight.

With his red hair now long and even grew himself a beard.

He stared coldly up at the T.V as he rewatches all of the ceremonies that were going on in the city.

Including the ones involved with Megamind and Roxanne.

Before pausing the T.V right as the camera angle captures the very moment where Roxanne was picked up in Megamind's arms and kisses him on the cheek.

Which made very much angered prisoner even further.

"Mark my words Megamind. When I get out of here, you and Roxie Roo will be dead meat. Although, it wouldn't hurt to have her all to myself for a moment or two. Maybe one date would be enough to satisfy me. Hm hm. hm hm hm." Hal chuckles evilly with a devilish smile to fill his closed up cell with darkeness and despair.

*The scene is then shifted back to the tea party with the Ritchis right after the Scotts suggested a prison meetup with Hal.

"Ugh! You mean that foul deviant from 6 months ago?! The one who kidnapped my daughter and placed her on top of a falling building?! Now why on earth should we work with him?" Rachel asked confused.

"Because, he has the perfect motive and opportunity to commit this type of crime. Once he kidnaps her again, our Wayne will swoop down right away and pick her up from him. It'll be like the classic Prince Charming saving his princess who is locked up in a high tower from the fire breathing dragon. Then after that mess is over, he'll take him right back to jail and reclaim his title as hero of the city. The good thing about this plan is that not only will our son be remembered again to the citizens of this town, but you will also finally get a chance to see you daughter marry someone worthy of your taste. So, what do you think?" Sarah explained as both Ritchis looked at each other in horror and worry.

"I...I don't know about this. Honey..." Rachel said as she gives signals for her husband to take part of his word in agreement.

"Hmm, I suppose that could work but you have to guarantee that she'll be safe because if he lays one finger on her..." Rodney tried to say before he was interrupted by Daniel.

"Relax, our boy is a professional here. He may be lazy and incompetent at some times, but he is good at what he does for a living. So what do you say? Do we have a deal?" Daniel asked as he gives out a hand, and waiting for Rodney to shake on it.

Who took a moment to think this through before diving into the deal for now.

"D-Deal." Rodney spoke in slight hesitation before finally shaking hands with him, with a nervous feeling that something would be off.

But just couldn't quite get what exactly might go wrong.

"Excellent! Now come, come. We have so much to do and not a lot of time to waste!" Sarah said excitedly as all four immediately rise up and head into one car to share for the ride along.

With Scotts sitting right upfront while the Ritchis sat in the back.

"So which friend of yours, are we going to see first?" Rachel asked curiously.

"We know a famous doctor in town who specializes in chemistry and human genetics. We have reason to believe that he can modify and reengineer his body enough to make him regain his powers again. Then when we release him from prison and he threatens enough people, our son will come by and save the day. It'll all work out, trust me darling." Sarah said as the four of them buckle in their seatbelts and put the car in ignition.

"Honey, I have a bad feeling about this." Rodney mumbles low in a whisper volume to his wife so that Scotts wouldn't hear him.

As the Ritchis and the Scotts drive off to get ready for their plan to take into action, they are somewhat unware of the danger that will be brought to the city and the dangerous fact that Hal is over compulsively and manipulatively obsessed with Roxanne.

*The scene then switches back to the prison where Hal looks up to the audience readers and smiles drastically, his brown eyes now turned to an almost black color, that is fiercely raged, and ready for revenge.
