Love Over Luxury

Chapter 13

When Roxanne and Megamind finally got to the observatory through the 'secret entrance', they parked the car and got out as they walked over to Minion who was on the computer at the moment.

He turned his head and got up from his chair when he notices their arrival.

"Welcome back sir, I got it here for you, just like you asked." Minion said in a perked up tone, happy to see them both safe and unharmed.

"Thank you Minion" Megamind said tiredly as he sat in the chair and started looking into the recorded video footage of the prison facility, which was in a form of a flash drive that was inserted inside the outlet of the computer.

"While you're at it, I'll make you two some coffee, you both look like you could use one." Minion stated as he looks over at the two, whom both to him presumed to be exhausted from the whole fiasco.

"Thanks, we'll definitely need a cup after....everything." Roxanne said to Minion as she looked over at Megamind with worry.

"Great. I'll be right back" Minion said before hurrying himself over to the kitchen, leaving the two alone for the moment.

As Roxanne pulls up another chair and sat down next to Megamind, who was vigorously scrolling through the video in a rush, hoping to find what they were looking for.

Roxanne noticed his uneasiness and tries to find a way to comfort him.

"Hey. Don't stress about this too much. We'll find them." Roxanne spoke softly to him, laying her hand on his own, for reassurance.

As Megamind's serious face had slowly softened by the lightness of her touch and sighed.

"I know. I just want this to be over and...." Megamind was about to say until he then paused and stopped himself for the moment.

He wanted to ask her about something else.

The one question that can either be one of the best moments in a couple's life.

....Or can be one of the most heart breaking,

If it's not asked at the right time.

Is it....too early to ask her?

Megamind thought as they slowly looked at each other in the eyes for a brief moment.

Until their intense silence got interrupted by Minion.

Who happily brought over their drinks, possibly from the huge relief that they were both okay and unharmed from the attack.

"Here you go." Minion spoke in a cheery tone as he walked over and places the two coffee cups on the table desk where they were sitting at and took a seat himself, to relax.

"Thanks Minion, we really appreciate this." Roxanne said smiling politely at Minion before glancing back over at Megamind with a troubled expression.

I wondered what he was going to say before.....

Hmm...

I'll have to talk to him later about this.

Roxanne thought in a sigh, while sipping on her coffee.

With fresh hot liquid melting away much of her anxiety.

As more clues have now begin surface up, much to their delight.  

"Guys, come over here and take a look at this. I think I found what we're looking for." Megamind announced over.

"Here, let me see." Roxanne replied as they turn their attention to the computer screen.
