Love Over Luxury

Chapter 10

Once the Scotts and Ritchis reached their way to the hospital, they parked in the building lot beside the kidnappers.

As Daniel got out of the car and walked over to the kidnappers so that he can finish the payment deal.

"That'll be all gentlemen. Thank you for your cooperation. And as promised, this is yours to keep." Danial said before he gives Gary and Frank a suitcase filled with large bulks of cash.

"Thanks for the money sir but uh...what's going to happen to the guy?" Gary asked referring to Hal, who was still in their car, unconscious.

"Oh don't worry, we'll take good care of him. You two just make sure that you keep a low profile for now and grab a nearby bus, back home. There should be a bus stop several blocks west from the hospital building. We'll call you and give you back the car when the coast is clear. Policemen have a very keen eye on suspicious cars that were seen on camera. But as always, it was a real pleasure working with you gentlemen. Have a good evening." Danial spoke with a wave and walked back into his car, while waiting for the petty crooks to leave the scene.

"Do you think they'll..." Gary was going to ask about what could happen to Hal but hesitated to finish in fear.

"Oh Gary, you worry too much. Relax a little will you? We got all the money that we need now. And if the city gets that bad again, then we can always take a road trip back to good ole Miami, Florida and see the beautiful beaches. Just like we were able to do back in high school on graduation day." Frank reassured him, trying to ease his pal's worry while patting him on the shoulder.

"Okay, then" Gary agreed with a nod as the two walked quietly together to the nearest bus stop.

Once the two crooks were far out of sight, Daniel then picks up his phone and calls in Dr. Jeyde.

"Yes, Doctor, we have the guy. It is time." Daniel spoke in a much more sinister tone.

"Haha. Good. I'm on my way." The raspy voice of the doctor spoke on the other line before Daniel hung up the phone and waited for him to arrive.

After an hour passed by later, the Doctor then drove up and parked his car by the others before getting out of the car as him, Sarah and Daniel all put on disguises with fake ID card tags around their neck.

While Rodney and Rachel, on the other hand, decide to stay in the car and wait as they watch the three carry Hal, who was still in a sack, to the hospital entrance.

After 5 minutes of rapid talk and persuasions of insisting on carrying the patient to the nearest surgical room alone, the other doctors and nurses allowed them an isolated operating room, just right at the edge of the building hallway.

Once they all three got into the room, they shut the door as Sarah and Daniel kept a close lookout for any incoming doctors while Dr. Jeyde unravels the sack, revealing a limp, flabby unconscious body with a weird nerdy looking face on the guy and his tongue flatly sticking out.

"Ugh, he is one ugly dude. But this serum should do the trick." Dr. Jeyde spoke shaking his head as he takes a syringe and fills it up with the toxic, purple-looking liquid.

"You're going to be the perfect soldier and nothing will ever stand in your way ever again. You will be.... invincible." Dr. Jeyde whispered to Hal as he roll up his sleeves and tries to find a vein.

"Hurry up Doctor. Someone might be coming here any minute." Daniel spoke nervously.

"Don't rush my work! I know exactly what I'm doing, so you go keep watch. You hear?" Dr. Jeyde said rudely as the Scotts instantly looked at the doors again.
