Once Megamind and Roxanne got in the invisible car, they rode through the city and decided to give Minion a heads up on what had just happened through a call on speaker phone.
"Hello? Sir?" Minion asked on the other line after picking up their call.
"Yes Minion, I'm here." Megamind spoke loudly so that he could hear him.
"A-are you okay out there? Did you manage to get to her on time? I just heard on the news that there's been some sort of an explosion right on the location of her apartment complex. The whole roof of that building completely collapsed and everyone over had to evacuate immediately." Minion explained in a much worried tone.
"Don't worry, Minion, she's fine. Did you get to talk to the Warden? Did he tell you how Hal escaped?" Megamind asked hurriedly.
"Heh, you're not going to believe this. It's a very funny story." Minion spoke with a nervous laugh.
"Try me." Megamind replied in a much serious tone.
"Well, let's just say, that he was actually kidnapped himself." Minion said in a winced voice.
"What?" Megamind asked in much confusion.
"Oh yeah. The warden informed me that it was two guys broke in and tied up all of the guards just to reach his cell. One big guy and one small guy wearing ski masks. They knocked him out of conscious and snuck him out of the prison facility in a sack. I know it's weird, but that right there could only mean that Hal didn't necessarily escape on his own." Minion explained.
"It makes a lot of sense. But I still don't understand, though. What could two unimportant guys want with Hal?" Roxanne asked, who was just as puzzled as well.
"Unless they were hired....Minion I need you to check in on the camera footage that was taken on the day of the escape. Maybe that could tell us something about how the guys walked in and out of the building with Hal." Megamind instructed immediately.
"Already on that one, sir." Minion said while tying away on his computer.
"Okay then, we'll meet you at the observatory in about an hour." Megamind informed.
"Copy that, sir." Minion replied right before Megamind nodded in agreement and hung up the phone.
"Now what?" Roxanne asked.
"Once we head back to observatory, we'll be able to go through and observe the security videotapes from the prison facility. Once we catch a glimpse of their faces on camera, then we can do a facial recognition scan on the two suspects and see where their last location went." Megamind explained as he looked over at Roxanne who suddenly gave him a curious look.
"What?" Megamind asked, confused.
"Oh Nothing. I just never seen you so....investigative before, that's all. Is there still a Bernard in there somewhere? Are you disguising as Megamind now?" Roxanne teased.
"Ha.... That's very funny for you to say but no, Its still me." Megamind jumbled on, blushing from the embarrassing moment that he had when he supposedly was forced to disguise as the boring Bernard so that she won't see him in PJs.
"I know." Roxanne said, lightly punching him on the arm as the two continue to drive up the observatory.

Meanwhile, back at Metro Man's secret retirement hideout, Metro Man was drinking a strawberry smoothie and eating a BLT sandwich while practicing on his guitar.
It was peaceful and quiet for him at the moment, until he hears a door slam and his parents start walking towards him, still disgusted of their own child's habit of living.
Ugh. That's a way to kill the mood. Metro man thought as he continuously strum his guitar cords, hoping to ignore what his parents are about to say to him.
"Where have you been son?" Danial Scott said as him and his wife both similarly cross their arms with disappointing looks on their face.
"What is now father? Can't you see that I'm busy making my new song?' Metro Man complained in a spoiled teenage voice.
"and can't YOU see what's been going on in the news?" Sarah Scott scorned.
"Mom I don't watch T.V." Metro Man said bluntly.
"Then explain to me, why do you have a T.V in the room?" Danial Scott asked his son.
"Oh uh that's for my DVD Player so I can listen and watch my own music sessions." Metro Man
"Oh really." Danial said as he reluctantly turns on the T.V and flips on the news channel.
"He he. That wasn't there before." Metro Man said nervously.
"Uh huh, sure." Sarah Scott said, rolling her eyes.
"Listen son, when are you are going to start growing up and earning back your title? We have put our whole lives on hold, trying to make the people see that you're the one in charge not that blue guy." Danial Scott scorned as Metro Man sighed and stopped playing his guitar for a minute.
"I don't know father, possibly never. I can't be the son that you want me to be. I'm just made to be something else other than a hero. I can't help that I'm cursed with these powers, in fact I wish for someone to take away all of these hideous talents away from me so I don't have to deal with them anymore. And that blue guy happens to be a friend of mine. I gave him my position because I wanted to stop the bad blood from happening between us. It was my fault for not letting him be a hero in the first place. He's a good person and a better hero for the people. In fact, he's the one who saved Roxanne and the citizens of Metro City from Hal, not me. So, if you've come here to ramble on how you'll persuade me to be Metro Man again, well you're just wasting your time. You can keep trying but no matter what you do, I'm not changing my mind and that's final." Metro said sternly, attempting to put his foot down against his conniving parents.
"Hmm. We'll see about that. Come on honey, we'll be back." Danial said as the two start leaving.
"Okay then, just be sure to leave your issues on your way out.....ooh. That'll go great for my next song. 'Just go and leave your issues out the dooooor'" Metro Man said as he sang his verse while strumming his guitar.
As Scotts rolled their eyes in annoyance and let their son be before walking out of the hideout.
"Goodness, that boy will never learn will he?" Sarah asked to Danial.
"Not until we can figure out how to straighten him up....Hm. Honey, I think it's about time that we kick it up a notch, why don't we go back to the mansion and have ourselves another meeting with Dr. Jeyde." Danial Scott planned.
"Good idea honey but what can he do for us?" Sarah Scott asked.
"He'll tell us how we can locate that brute of a man and we'll see if he can make a deal with us. That way, everybody wins" Danial said as the two got in their car and drive off to Dr. Jeyde's home, hoping to bring in enough force for Metro Man to finally man up and handle the situation.
