Meanwhile, Megamind had just arrived at the museum and parks his invisible car around the corner before walking over to Roxanne, who had just now concluded her latest news report.

"And now, we would all like to gather around here today in honor of Megamind's true heroism. And would like to thank him for his devoting kindness and dedication to this town. Even to this day, after 6 months of hard work, he has still continued to make this city a better place. This is Roxanne Ritchi, reporting to you live from the Megamind Museum." Roxanne spoke like a true reporter before signaling her new cameraman to cut off the camera for the live shot, who was, in appearance, a middle aged man with a short brown beard.

And was also wearing a black shirt and brown cargo pants with a genuine warm smile on his face in much more polite way.

It would seem to be that guy was trustworthy and reasonable enough for Megamind to assume no danger out of him.

He was certainly a lot more better than Hal,  who even with his obvious nerdy appearance, looked to be more like a red flag than anything else.

And has been unknowably obsessed with her since day one.

Had he known that Hal was making Roxanne feel so uncomfortable.

He would have went back in time, especially to the day where he was finally able to take Metro Man's powers away from that creep, he would have seriously fed him to his alligators back at the laboratory.

As he approaches closer to Roxanne and smiles brightly once he sees that she was in a beautiful blue satin dress, which was the very same dress that she wore to his opening gala in the city after he held the title as a hero to the city by the mayor himself.

And started to chuckle in midst of the memory before laughing about a joke that he had in mind for her.

"Oh, my Roxanne. You did so well out there. Bravo. Clap. Clap. Now that right there was a great speech. And here I thought for a second, that you were going to tell the whole news station how this awesome, and most handsome devil has helped out so many of these poor and unfortunate souls. That it would be an honor to call him a hero to this 'grand forsaken' city. Isn't that right?" Megamind asked in a jokingly manner.

"Ugh. Of course you would think like that. Sigh. You're so predictable, you know." Roxanne spoke rhetorically with a sigh before punching him lightly in the arm, rolling her eyes at his goofiness.

"Ouch. A little harsh on the arm there. But yes, of course. I am predictable. Based on having many of my earned accomplishments as a mad laboratory genius, an early educator in the laws of physics and a master of invention on the revolutionary advancement of robotics." Megamind spoke out confidently.

"Uh, no. That's not why. What you're describing to me right now is just traits of being a typical show off." Roxanne reminded him with a smirk.

"I see. A contradiction on my own words? Well played Roxanne." Megamind spoke out in a dramatic tone that was silly enough to be theatrical as if the two were in a whodunit play together before looking over at Dan and greeted him with a wave.

"Hey Dan. How's the weather job coming along so far? Do you like it?" Megamind asked politely to the guy.

"Hey, Megamind. I'm doing okay so far, thank you for asking. Just working out some things with the old man. You know, the usual shenanigans. But you two have fun, now. Have a great weekend, Roxanne. See you on Monday." Dan spoke to the two before grabbing his camera and waves goodbye to both of them while walking over to his van and drove off.

"Bye!" Roxanne responded back to Dan in a wave before turning back to Megamind.

"So what does Megamind have in mind today?" Roxanne asked as Megamind wrapped his arms around her.

"Oh well, I was thinking about spending the whole day with you. Like riding our bikes through the local park, having a nice picnic, observing through the art museum, go to the library, and finally, have a nice, quiet dinner at night. Just like we did when I was umm...stalling with a false identity but, this time. It'll be real and it'll be just perfect for our semi-anniversary." Megamind said smoothly while holding her hand.

"If you say so. Lead the way then, chauffeur. Just remember, no funny business on our own date. I'd rather have my peace than be fumigated with your 'knock-out-spray" and gagged with an old brown bag that smells like it had been in the locker room for months." Roxanne teased while pulling him in for a quick kiss to the lips before letting go so they could start walking over to his invisible car.

"Haha, well I do apologize for ruining your appetite there. But I just thought that the bag would appease my ability to successfully capture you." Megamind said in a joking matter.

"Oh, you captured me alright, just not in the right place that you had in mind." Roxanne spoke with a wink.

Without realizing at that exact moment, Megamind had been thinking about some of what she said in fearful doubt.

"That's true. But for a long time, you've always  known for me to have this constant dedication of wanting to prove to the people in the city that I belong in this place. And I guess.... I was finally able to stood my ground long enough for everyone to believe me." Megamind said, with a half smile right before Roxanne stopped abruptly and turned around to face him in concern.

She felt bad about the whole chain of events that had led him to think like that, and decides to pull him in close to her with her hands wrapped around his, to help reassures him otherwise.

"No, that's not it. You might have felt left out in the beginning but it wasn't always a one sided effort. Deep inside myself, I knew you weren't a bad person but I was too blind to see the whole truth. And because of the publicity along metro man's attitude towards you, it had led me to believe for so long that you were the reason for  causing havoc in the city. When it wasn't even true. You cared, even when you didn't show it sometimes and took multiple risks in order to save everyone from Hal's wrath. Which in the end, gave me all the more reason to understand your compassion and love you for who you are today. " Roxanne explained kindly before leaning in close and kiss him on the lips.

With the two embraced in each other's arms before breaking apart to face each other in warm grins.

"Now come on. We don't want to miss the whole day, now do we?" Roxanne encouraged on with a beautiful smile that had truly melted Megamind's heart enough to trust in her soothing words and got in the invisible car with her to drive on forward to start off their big day ahead.
