Chapter 11

Once Megamind finally made it to Roxanne's apartment, he notices that he was the first to show up and sighed in relief.

As he parked his car by the lot garage of the apartment complex and had the doorman Carl let him in before taking the elevator up to the level of her penthouse.

Which was the highest floor of the building and had an extended balcony that protruded several feet from the French doors of the apartment.

He then exited out of the elevator and knocked on the door hard, hoping that she'd wake up.

With only a few minutes later, that she finally opened the door with her eyes barely awake while wearing a white tank top shit and pajamas.

Which was pretty reasonable since he did come to her place so late at night.

"Roxanne. We have to go, now." Megamind spoke in a rush.

"Megamind? Is that you? Ugh, Its 3 o clock in the morning. Can't this wait until tomorrow?" Roxanne groaned in a half asleep mode.

"No. We don't have much. We have to-"Megamind was going to explain when all of a sudden, he heard ground shaking and looked over at the hallway of the building.

But before he could say another word, Hal's body had now started to gather up from the floor like a mole, popping out of the surface.

"Quick, get inside!" Megamind yelled as he shoved Roxanne back her apartment and shut the door behind him.

As Roxanne, who was now fully awake, turn to Megamind in worry.

"Megamind what's going-" Roxanne was about to ask before she was interrupted by the pounding of her front door.

And before either of the them could make the next move, the door suddenly bursted open like a combustion.

Revealing it to be Hal, who was now steadily walking towards them as if he was a bull ready to fire in rage.

With Megamind and Roxanne's eyes now wide open in utter fear.

To them, he was obviously mutated like a lab rat and had become much more powerful than they have ever seen.

With the haunting appearance of his silver skin and green burning eyes making the situation 10 times worse.

Something was wrong.

Something was very very wrong.

And Megamind wanted nothing more than to get them out of the building.

But couldn't move a muscle, fearing that his next step might be his last.

With his thoughts spinning endlessly in his mind.

But before he could think of anything, Hal took the time to speak up about his next plans for them and laughed horribly at their pathetic weakness in victory.

"Haha, I should have known. I figured I might just stop by and see how my little Roxie was doing. But then I come here, and as expected, I see you two together, yet again. Now ain't that a surprise? But I hope I didn't crash in all the fun that you two were having. After all, I did come here for one thing only. So I hope you don't mind that I steal her away permanently now, do you?" Hal asked rhetorically with his voice much darker voice and his tone more harsher as if the chemicals have burned away all of his throat.

But it wasn't until Hal's eyes had been to flash laser green that Megamind knew what was coming next!

"Go! Get back!" Megamind warned while getting him and Roxanne to move backwards for their safety.
