Meanwhile, Megamind and Roxanne, who were able to pinpoint the location of the doctor, knocked on the door of his house once they arrived to the area using Roxanne's white broadcast news van, that was now parked on the high grassy yard of the place.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" Roxanne shouted out loud while they wait by the front porch for answer, but neither of them had heard signs of any movement just yet.

"Hmm. Now if I'm not mistaken, Dr Jeyde's last residence should be at this very mansion. Unless of course, my calculations on the directions here, have been slightly a bit off with the latitude from this 'google mapping' device here." Megamind said, confused while looking at his iPhone to see if his app was working right as Roxanne looked over at him and chuckled.

"Pfft. I doubt that. He's probably not answering the door because of bad publicity that he's been getting for the past couple of years with his sketchy crimes hanging loose in the newspapers. But you know how it is. In the journalism world, guys like him, will always try to hide in the dark so that the people couldn't criticize their damaged reputations any further. Or in much simpler terms, they just don't want to spend the rest of their lives with their tainted egos hanging over their head so instead, they end up having a quiet isolated life to ease their minds off of any distractions." Roxanne depicted while Megamind slowly puts away his phone and lowered his facial expression to a half smile once the words 'guys like him' and 'isolated' run through his head like a marathon on wheels as if he could relate to those notions, so easily.

He remembered how hard it was to fit in with the rest of society after being raised by a prison facility for many years with various escape attempts and fake kidnappings clinging into his record while also juggling in the basic needs of what he should have in his social life that ranged from simple friendships to as significant as eventual love of another.

To which, would everyday remind him of how grateful he truly is with the life that he has, now that everything was different.

How he became different.....for her.

"Heh. Can't say that I don't blame him though. I know what it's like to be alone by myself, for quite some time. I even used to think that the whole world was really against me so I stick to my role as a bad guy, everyday like the rest of them. But....for the past six months, that all really started to change when my life was turned around so quickly and now....I'm just glad that it didn't have to be forever." Megamind said softly before looking over at her with a warm smile.

It didn't take but a second for Roxanne to realize quickly how her words had affected him and felt bad.

She knew then what he meant about the past.

Their past.

Where the city felt so cruel and judgmental to certain people.

People like him who were never given another chance at anything.

And were judged, the minute that others see their faces in the crowd.

As if one's actions became a permanent loss to its consequences.

What pained her heart even more is that she was doing the same exact thing to him as well.

And his words..... gave her a new perspective of  the whole thing.

What about everything you just said?

About judging a book by it's cover?

The thoughts rang loudly in her mind as she immediately wrapped her hands around his and attempted to reassure him, otherwise.

With her eyes in a deepened blue color from all of the guilt that had been eating her up for a very long time.

She truly never got a chance to apologize for the outbursted behavior she had caused that night over the cover up that Megamind was accidentally exposed to, in front of entire guests and staff in the restaurant.
