"So what exactly was in that serum?" Roxanne asked while the scientist was examining some unlabeled chemicals in his tray.

"The T-1 infuser is a powerful serum that combines 3 mutations, LRP5 for unbreakable strengthened bones, Lin28a for fast healing, and SCN9A for no pain. Which was supposed to better and more advanced than immune deficiency gene therapy that I have been craving on conquering for many ages. But I guess you both knew how that turned out." Dr. Jeyde said, rubbing his neck embarrassed.

With both Megamind and Roxanne dropping their jaws at once.

This was much worse than they thought.

There was no way that anyone can counteract such strength and power that easily.

This was going to be some mess.

"Doctor, you do realize that with these powers, Hal could destroy everything and everyone in his way. There would be no one who will be able to stop him. It's like sending the city an atomic bio weapon in its path." Roxanne emphasized greatly.

"Eh, I know. You don't have remind me. I've been a scientist for many years and even I thought that this was all mad." Dr. Jeyde said, waving off the subject in his own form of blame.

"Well, what sort of device or gadget do you have so far that we can use?" Megamind asked.

"Sigh. Nothing much really anything. I've programmed the serum to overcome the most toughest obstacles. So truly, the only thing that I could use in this type of emergency, is this." Dr. Jeyde said while taking out a familiar object from a temperature-controlled pull-drawer.

Which definitely widened Megamind's eyes in surprise.

"Is that...." Megamind was going to say in confusion until his question was answered.

"A defuser? Like the one from your first two battles with him? Yeah, I've watched you on the news before. I'm not a complete caveman you know. Here." Dr. Jeyde said, rolling his eyes before handing him the defuser gun.

Which was crafted the same way as his.

Except, it was more durable, heavier and was made more components that could handle the potency of all those powerful gene mutations that were in Hal's system.

"Roxanne, do you think that this could work like last time?" Megamind asked, curiously.

"We might as well, try. There's just not a lot else that we can do until we can find a way to weaken him."

"Excellent. Let's head back to the secret lair and let Minion in on this so that we can figure out the perfect distraction for Hal, the next time that he comes nearby." Megamind said in a rush as the two then thanked the doctor for his help and waved goodbye before driving off in the invisible car back towards the lair.

Not long afterwards, Hal, who was now in the process of having both Megamind and Roxanne in his own form of web trap, flew down towards the fake observatory, aka Megamind's 'secret entrance' spot/ lair, until he picked a spot and landed on the ground.

Specifically, where a familiar floor mat that said 'secret entrance' was placed in front of that same graffitied hidden wall as before.

"Heh, such an complete imbecile to leave the door wide open for his intruders." Hal said to himself with a dark chuckle before entering in the lair through the hollow wall.

The Scotts have advised him to take whoever would be of most important to Megamind and lure him out of the way, first.

Whether it would Roxanne....

Or perhaps someone else....

To which, in this case, if Roxanne wasn't going to be the one to cross paths with him.

Then perhaps it might be someone else.

Someone in particular, who treats him as if he was a brother of his own.

Someone like....

"Huh? Hello? Sir? Have you returned yet? I didn't hear you call or anything." Minion asked anxiously, once he heard the clanking noise from Hal's solid metal-like feet.

He had just come back from placing the two low-life criminals in the city jail and talking to the warden about setting up some kind of backup army of guards or even soldiers to help aid Megamind during the battle with the infamous Titan.

At the moment of Hal's break-in, he was gathering around some materials to make better gadget tools for Megamind and turned around to see Hal standing there, with his green-like flames steaming out of his cold hardened eyes!

"Ah! I...it's you! Y...you've changed so much." Minion stuttered in a shiver of surprise.

"Haha. So, you must be my long-lost space step-mom. It's so good to see you again. How's that hair of yours going, by the way?" Hal darkly joked with a chuckle.

"U...uh well you see, I had to get it cut and..." Minion nervously sputtered out in a panic until he was abruptly cut off.

"Enough fish. You're not fooling anyone. I know you're Megamind's best friend and sidekick, so you can stop the act now." Hal said, his voice sounding annoyed.

"Oh yeah? A-and what are you going to do about it? You won't be able to get to Roxanne without going through me, first. And I won't hesitate to take you down if you ever come near my best friend." Minion warned to the best that he can, despite his rising anxiety.

Which made Hal laugh at him, more.

Knowing how weak Minion can actually be during his fights.

"Haha. Very brave of you to say that but I'm not here for either of them. At least....not at the moment, that is. Right now, I'm here for you." Hal explained with a sly, evil grin on his face before hovering over closer to Minion!

"W..what?! W...wait a minute now. Can't we just talk about this like two civilized individuals?!" Minion asked in a frenzy of panic!

"Oh, don't worry little guy. He'll be back for you soon. I just know that he won't be able to face me without keeping his best buddy out of danger. Now, let's get ready for his return, shall we? I think we might need to add some flames to his precious lair as well to help remind him who he's messing with." Hal planned out with a deep boom in his voice, with his eyes now blazing hot fiery, green before taking Minion hostage and begin to set their whole lair on fire in a flash!
