Chapter 14 - New Mate

Mariana Pov:

I woke up being cuddled. I looked over to see Luke. How was I suppose to tell him about Pete. I had to do something but what. I decided to go to the castle, I got and threw on black ripped skinny jeans, my panic at the disco shirt, and my grey vans. I quickly brushed my hair and ran to the castle. "Mer," I yelled running into the castle. I walked into his workshop to see him on the floor. I ran over to his body. "Mer." "Child," he coughed out. "I am leaving. Tell me son it is he turn to rise. Tell him to pass on the legends and his job onto his son." He coughed. "No Mer I can't lose you. You are like a father to me." "It is ok child. It is my time." With that he took his last breath. I cryed over his body. Then someone walked inot the room. It was Alex Mer's son. "Dad," he yelled running over to his fathers body. "Its to late Alex. He is gone." He started to cry. Mer was the only one he had left. "You have to bring him back Mariana." "I can't Alex. He is old. He is just gonna die again." I walked over and hugged me. I have never seen him like this before. "He told me that it is your time to rise up. And he wants you to pass it onto your child." He smiled alittle. "Ok so what did you need?" "Well I was wondering about mates. Like can you change your mate?" Alex walked over to some books. "Well it says that on the night of the full moon if love is true the male has to put the necklace on the girl and if it glows the moon has spoken." That was one weird book. What the hell does the moon has spoken have to do with anything? I gave him a hug and rushed out the door. The full moons in a few days. I ran up to my house and saw that someone was her. Shit the boys. "Hey guys," I said running up to them. "Hey," they all said. Pete came up to me and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "So um I was wondering if I could take you on a date tonight," he ask nervously. "Sure." I was trying not to fan girl.The Pete Wentz just asked me on a date. I can check that off my bucket list. But I know that Luke is the only one for me. Plus Pete is like in his 30's maybe 40's. Well actually im like 18,000 years old so I shouldn't be the one complaining about the age. "I will pick you up at 7?" "Ok see you at 7." With that he walked away. I really need to talk to Destiny. I walked over to Destiny's.I knocked on the door. She let me in and we sat on her couch. "I have a problem," I blurted out. "Whats the problem?" "Well ok so I am in love with Luke but I also want to be with my mate Pete." She looked at me and tried to concentrate. "Ohh well, if Pete is your mate but you love LukeI think you should go with your heart. And if your heart tells you Luke then Luke, but if your heart tells you Pete then Pete. Simple." That was so not simple. My heart says both but my mind say I only can have one. "Ok. But me and Pete have a date tonight." "Well, first see how the date goes and then I don't know at the end of the date ki him and see if it feels right."  I knew what she was saying. Well its worth a shot. "Ok and can you help me get ready?" She said yes and dragged me into her room. She went and looked in her closet and gabbed a pair of leggings and a white tank top. She also grabbed flats and a tan jacket but I refused to put them on so I just wore black coverse and a black jacket. I put my hair in a pony tail and threw on a black beanie. She smiled at me. "Thank you. Your like the sister I never had. Im also happy that your my brothers wife. He made a great choice." I gave her a hug and old her I would see her later. As I arrived at my house I saw Pete pull up. I hoped in and we headed to the bowling alley. When we arrived we got are shoes and headed to get a ball. Well we were playing Pete always did that thing were he put his arms around me and tried to help me bowl. He ended up making me get the ball in the gutter every time. "Pete your making me lose," I laughed. "You have an adorable laugh Mariana. " I blushed. Pete was a really sweet guy. God but I still like Luke. We have been through so much together, I have known him sense we where 4. Plus we had baby. After bowling for alittle while longer wealked outside. Before we got in the car Pete looked into my eyes and started to lean in. But then I saw Luke. He looked at me. He was now tears. He ran away when I saw him.  "Pete. I will be right back," I said running after Luke. "Luke wait." He just kept running. I went to yell his name again when I saw a bright light and then I felt pain all over my body. I heard both Pete and Luke screaming my name. Then everything went black.

Well I hope you liked it. I was really hoping they would kiss but my mind thought other wise. Well thats it.
