Piper was nervous. It wasn't very clear why, but she had some nerves sat in a call with her friends for jackbox. Maybe it was because it was the first time since she had talked to Dream where she talked about her crush on Sapnap.
She was sure that he would bring it up as a joke in the game today, he was like that. She couldn't really blame him for it though, it would be good content.
She told herself in her head multiple times that she wasn't going to let her nerves get the better of her, so she had just mentally prepared herself for the worst, then if that happened she wouldn't be as affected.
Piper had gotten used to the routine of doing at least one stream per week, in between them was the time that she had designated for writing or looking for small jobs she could take up.
She had decided a date for her song to come out by now, which was something she was very thankful for. She was then able to work around it, and it was also as if this weight was taken off of her shoulders.
But that wasn't what she was focusing on, she faced towards the screen, her head prepared for the worst, as she joined the call.

'Hello Piper' Karl said, dragging out the R. It was sort of suspicious, but that wasn't something that she was concerned about. She was more concerned about how oddly quiet the call was, even though everyone was there.
'Hello Karl!' she was trying to play it off as her not being nervous by being overly cheerful. After hearing Piper talk without being at all awkward, they all started talking again.
It was a new comfort to her, hearing all her friends talk and laugh. They were all something that the girl held close to her heart, just being able to hear the people that she appreciated so much be happy.
Even if it was only a small amount of time, it was something that she valued, just being with her friends.
