Sapnap approached the girls house, and nerves were running high. He didn't even really know why, it was just two friends hanging out, nothing more.
But there was this lingering voice that had been there for nearly a day now, and it was a thing which was starting to become more and more convincing in his head.
The idea of asking Piper out was scary, he'd never do it and if the girl ever did like him, she was too nervous to do that. The looming fear that maybe if Piper did like him that those feeling would evaporate was even scarier though.
Despite the act he had been putting up about him almost being fearless, inside he was a nervous wreck. The fake confidence that Nick had been portraying for the past few weeks was something that had been making his actual confidence seem almost distant.
This so called confidence had been ruining his own in a way. But now, he had to try and use as much of the remains of the confidence he had.
'Hey!' Piper opened the front door and smiled softly at the taller boy. He looked down slightly at her, before quickly hugging her. It was short and somewhat platonic, although they both wanted more and could both sort of tell that.Walking in, it was a familiar feeling which Sapnap liked. The feeling where he felt like this is where he wanted to be, not because it felt like home, but being near Piper was a thing he could get used to.
Piper at the time was also getting this nagging feeling in the back of her head, but she was doing a lot better at ignoring it. She would never be able to do that, if she even faked the confidence she would make an idiot out of herself.
Moving over to the girls set up, Sap started using the rest of the little amount of confidence and grabbed her hand. It was a new and surprising amount of contact which they both very much enjoyed and craved.
He was planning to stream at her house, that's what they had decided on doing before. But he didn't want that anymore. He had felt this feeling of tension creeping up on them more and more.
So, sat on the two chairs which were originally used for a stream, the pair sat there in a half comfortable yet half awkward silence.
There was a sense of gravity acting like a rope which people would often talk about when referencing love.
Most of the time it was in reference of a first kiss, going along with when people say about butterflies in their stomach changing into fireworks when their lips touch each other's.
But this wasn't what the sense of gravity the pair was feeling was about. The gravity was affecting the thoughts they were having, dragging them closer and closer towards the front of their brains.
They had been making small talk for about an hour at this point, talking about the release of the song from the day prior and just having fun.
But Sap had been growing more and more confident. God knows how, but it just seemed to work, not stressing and letting his feelings come out naturally.
Looking the girl dead in the eyes, not in a threatening way but in a soft way, he was contemplating whether what he was about to say was a good idea.
Internally, he said fuck it, before muttering 'Hey Pip can I ask you something?' in the ear of the girl who was currently cuddling him.
'Of course, um, go ahead' she smiled out of annoyance of her own stupidity, why would she stutter and carry on when she didn't need to?
'I-, well, I know this is completely out of no where but, what would you say if I told you I had feelings for you?'
