"Nanami, you should eat a real lunch"

Y/N had somehow found herself fitted right into Nanamis schedule. He met her at the bus stop every morning, and they walked back together every afternoon.

He was okay with it, she wasn't a chatterbox like Gojo, nor was she silent.

Y/N was a perfect balance of everything. Save for her random questions.

"Hey, Y/N mind to join us at least tonight"

Her face twisted up as Nanami watched.

They were in the break room, Nanami taking apart his sandwich smoothly as the H/C stabbed at her bento.

It was a bright F/C thing. Though the pattern was a bit out dated. It matched her personality just fine. And he let out a huff of amusement at that as he bit into his sandwhich.

"What do you think Nanami?"

He raised his eyes mid chew, swallowing he replied.

"I'm sorry?"

"Why don't you go drinking with us today?"

Tendo Ito, yet again hitting on the H/C despite the fact it slid right over her like rain on a window pane.

Be it becuase she was good at ignoring it, or If she really was oblivious, Y/N was good at it.

The blonde found the brunettes failed efforts quite amusing, though he did feel a little sorry for his coworker.

"No thank you"

Y/N tucked her chopsticks away.

"I'd love it if you came Nanami, but I understand, I don't want you to do things you don't want to do"

She smiled and he avoided her eyes, suddenly feeling as if had let her down.

Ridiculous

"Maybe some other time"

He replied.

Nanami found himself missing her at the Bus stop, he had caught himself purposely taking his time to put away his things.

Hard to break a habit like Y/N after weeks.

She had left with Ito and a couple of coworkers, both female and male right after clocking out. Not even bothering to spare Nanami a goodbye.

He had to admit it kinda stung, but he had made it clear Outings didn't concern him, and neither did she.

—-

He was putting his Miso soup up to heat when he got the phone call.

"Hello?"

"Oh shit, Nanami it's you"
