"Hi, Y/N. We need to talk."
I sat down on the bed.
"What is it, Mom?"
"I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have told you that about the present but I've seen you work so hard to get that money... I just didn't want you to waste it all. I didn't mean to be rude or not get Harry a present, I just wanted to look out for you. For the future. Your father and I really want you to finish university and we also want you to have a healthy relationship. I tried my best to help you out, but I offended you and that wasn't my intention." She spoke.
I played with my hair, concentrating on what she way saying. Harry sat down next to me.
"Mom, I really needed that. Thanks for supporting me in everything I do." I smiled.
"And don't worry about the money, I assure you she'll be treated like a princess." Harry chimed in, hugging me and getting even closer to my phone.
"Hello Harry. Thanks for taking care of her, we really appreciate it." She replied.
Harry's face lit up. He had always been afraid to not be accepted by my family. I smiled at his happiness.
"We would love to keep talking, but we really have to pack. We're leaving soon." I stated.
"Oh, sure. Sorry for bothering. Have a nice trip and call me every once in a while so I know you're okay. Take care, both of you!" My mom made it quick.
We said our goodbyes and I love yous.
"Where were we?" Harry asked, smirking.
"Packing." I whispered, pushing him away from me.
I walked over to our suitcases and actually started packing for once.
"Y/N, come on. Don't be boring like that." He pouted.
"No really, Harry. Stop procrastinating. We're leaving tonight. And I still haven't packed the important stuff." I explained.
"I know, but think that starting from tonight we won't have privacy anymore." He warned.
"Yeah we will. We'll have our own room at the hotel."
"We'll have our own suite." Harry corrected, smiling.
"Isn't that enough privacy?" I questioned.
"Yeah, but you know that I'm working again. I might not have as much time for you." He said as he walked up to me, rubbing my shoulder.
"I'm doing fine now." I pointed out, putting a strand of his hair behind his ear.
"It might be difficult at first, but I promise it'll get better every time. I'm so excited about this, there's so many places I want to take you and just having you there with me it's-" He paused abruptly.
"What is it?" I asked, wanting him to finish his sentence.
"It's all I ever hoped for. I want to share every moment of my life with you." He blurted out.
My jaw dropped but thinking about his sweetness made me smile.
"You're all I ever hoped for. I'm so glad I went to Lexi's party that night. I wouldn't have met you if I hadn't." I smiled, remembering that day.
"How is Lexi? Her name hasn't come up which is quite strange because you always seem to be talking about her." He chuckled.
"Nothing." I lied.
"She hasn't called?"
"Yeah, she has. You just weren't here." I lied yet again.
I gulped. I couldn't keep lying to him. The truth would come back to haunt me. But how was I supposed to tell him: I fought with my best friend over a guy? He would think I actually liked Jake!
"Anything wrong?" Harry asked me as I had completely zoned out.
"Um..nope!" I replied nervously.
Harry looked at me, confused.
He opened his mouth to say something but I got saved by the bell.
His phone, that is.
"Hello? Oh yeah, we're pretty much all set. Yeah. OK. Well I don't know. If you want I can ask her." He spoke, looking up at me.
"What is it?"
"Niall wants to know who you'll be riding with." He asked, shrugging.
"You, obviously. Does he want to come with us?"
"I'm not sure if you can though, Niall. Yeah, better. It's only two hours so. Yeah, alright. See you at the hotel. Bye." Harry hung up.
"What's going on?" I asked, getting closer to him.
"Nothing. Niall's gonna go in a separate car because security always asks us to. He wanted to come with us but we then decided not to, just to be safe." He explained.
"Well alright. I suppose we should be leaving soon then." I assumed.
He nodded as I ran to the bathroom to get the last few things so we could get going.A car came to pick us up later and we headed towards Birmingham. It was already pretty late so there wasn't the usual London traffic at night.
"I'm taking you to Birmingham." He smiled, as I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Yes, but I might fall asleep before we get there." I laughed.
"It's okay, I'll wake you up when we get there. Our hotel is somewhat close to that library Malala opened. And you'll also have a shopping center to explore. It's really close to where we'll be staying." He explained.
I hugged him, wrapping my arms around him.
"You comfortable?" He chuckled. "You're my pillow for this two hour ride." I informed him.
"Oh. That's alright with me. Come here." He replied, pulling me closer.I heard whispering, but my eyes were still closed.
"If you're gonna lie to her, do it yourself." I heard one of the front seat doors close.
"Y/N, wake up babe. We're here." Harry whispered in my ear.
I blinked a few times to get used to the light.
"What's going on?" I asked, still a bit sleepy.
"Nothing. But for security reasons, I'm gonna be the first to go inside. You're gonna stay here with Mike, he's your bodyguard from now on. When the coast is clear, he'll take you to our room, okay?" He said.
I nodded.
He kissed my forehead and left. I put my hands over my face, trying to wake myself up.
"Sorry for waking you up. But there's something I want to tell you." Mike spoke.
"Oh, you didn't wake me up though." I smiled.
"If I'm going to be your bodyguard, I want you to know that you can't lie to me and I can't lie to you. There has to be honesty so I know how to react in a certain situation. Is that OK?" He asked, with a smile.
I nodded.
"I think we can get going now. Remember, if you find yourself in trouble just hold onto me and I'll lead the way."
We got out of the car and walked out of the parking lot.
"That's good. Nobody's here." I said, looking around.
"I find it strange. But I suppose if there were cameras here they would have followed Harry when he got out." Mike considered, stopping to take a look in all directions.
"I don't get it." He muttered.
Maybe the silence wasn't normal at all.
