Around 9pm, Sarah and John B were getting more affectionate with each other and they giggled and said goodnight as they went into John B's bedroom.
"What's the betting we're gonna hear them?" JJ asked with a smirk, coming to sit closer to me on the sofa.
"If I hear one 'harder John B' I'm out of here," I joked, imitating a high pitched moan.
"That was kinda hot, sunshine," JJ smirked, earning a shove from me.
"That weed has messed up your brain," I laughed.
John B had a spare room that JJ practically lived in when he wasn't staying with me or at his own house. JJ rarely lived at his home, his dad was often drunk and every time JJ saved up to buy groceries, his dad would take the money or eat the food with his friends. When JJ did return home for brief periods of time, he usually stayed at home, but we'd given up trying to ask him why he never hung out with us then.
"You wanna take the bed?" he offered.
"No it's okay, I'll sleep on the sofa."
"You're pregnant, it's the least I could do," he whispered the 'pregnant' part, looking at John B's closed door.
"But it's your bed, we'll share if you like?" I offered, still feeling bad.
"You wanna sleep with me, sunshine?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows at me suggestively.
"I'm pregnant, remember; no sex for 9 months."
"I've always wanted to bang a pregnant chick."
"You're gross, J, now budge up and we can spoon."
I slept soundly for once, JJ's arms wrapped protectively around my body probably had something to do with it, but I could get used to the feeling of it meant a peaceful sleep. We woke up to the sounds of the other Pogues and I washed my face in the bathroom before going out to greet them.
"Hey, Sunny! It feels like we haven't seen you in forever!" Kiara smiled, pulling me into a hug.
"You saw me yesterday, stupid," I teased, hugging her back tightly.
"That was for like 5 minutes! Are you hanging out with us today?"
"Uh, well, my Mom's kicked me out so I guess I'll be hanging with you every day," I tried to joke, but their faces fell.
"Why did she kick you out? I swear she only came home yesterday?" Pope asked.
I took a seat on the sofa and sighed, JJ gave me a look and I knew he wanted me to tell the others. I nodded at him and he took a seat next to me. The others looked at each other in confusion and I took a deep breath.
"Because I'm pregnant."
"Wait, are you serious?" Sarah asked, and I nodded solemnly.
"Do you know who the dad is?"
I'd already spoken to JJ about how I didn't want anyone to know Rafe was the father, he'd ignored all of my calls and messages since I told him I was pregnant which made it pretty clear that he wanted nothing to do with it.
"Just some Touron I had a one night stand with," I lied.
Sarah and Kiara pulled me into a hug and the boys didn't really know what to do, we were all only 18 and this was a big thing, I wasn't the same person anymore and it was going to affect all of my friends too.
"Where are you gonna go?" Pope asked, always the logical one in situations like these; not like any of us had ever had a situation anywhere near to this before.
"You can stay with me if you want," Sarah offered, and it pained me to think that I was lying to her. Her niece or nephew was inside my stomach and she had no idea.
"Thanks Sarah but I don't think your family would approve."
It was a reasonable excuse to be honest and she seemed to buy it which I was grateful for.
"You can stay here," John B spoke after a while; the first thing he'd said since I broke the news.
"There's plenty of room at the Chateau and it'll make up for all the times we've crashed at yours."
"Are you sure JB? It's a pretty big commitment?" I asked.
"Of course, it's my pleasure and it's where you'll be the safest. Just might have to hide if DCS come poking their noses in."
"Thank you so much."
