"Lilith," it was Pepper.

"Hey, Pepper," I smiled, "What can I do for you?"

"You can explain to me why you're not who you say you are."

"Oh, heh, that's a story."

"Let me hear it, then."

"Okay...When I was eleven months old, I was found by S.H.I.E.L.D. My mother was dead, and we never found her body. I was taken back to the base and raised by various agents. I was given the name Rosemary Margaret by Peggy Carter and took the last name of 'Fury' until I was fifteen. Phil Coulson adopted me on my fifteenth birthday. When I was ten, I started receiving doses of a new version of the super-soldier serum. I shouldn't've told you that, but I trust you not to tell anyone. Oh yeah, you can't tell anyone what I'm telling you, by the way! About a year and a half ago, I became a full super-soldier on my eighteenth birthday, 'The Armed Assassin,' my friends call me 'Double-A' or 'The Battery,' though. The new serum had some issues that gave me superhuman abilities. I have telepathy, object manipulation, heightened senses, and quick healing. The object manipulation is really just telekinesis and elementalism, but calling it object manipulation is easier."

"But that doesn't fully explain the name."

"Right, sorry. So my mother named me Lilith Angela, and Williams was her last name. I use the name Lilith Angela Williams on missions. Lilith has her own life and accomplishments; she's her own person. She just happens to look like me. All it took was some simple hacking, really. We picked a random school for her to attend and put her on their rosters. Right now, she's getting her master's in Public Safety at the Bryn Mawr. My birth name helps keep the super-soldier a secret, which keeps the real me out of trouble. I was introduced to world governments as a secret weapon not too long ago. It's dehumanizing to think of myself as a weapon with my only purpose to be pushed and pulled around the world when needed, but it's easy to get over. I think of the super-soldier part of me as another person. Lilith is what was, Rosemary is, and The Armed Assassin is what could be if that makes sense. Basically, they're all separate people with one consciousness and one body. That sounds wrong. I mean, I'm them, and they're me. We're all the same person, but it helps me to separate them. I'm sorry, I'm rambling. Did any of that make sense?"

"Kinda."

"Are you mad at me?"

"I'm just confused as to how you got your ad out there right as I knew I needed someone like you?"

"Hacking, logic, all that jazz. We figured that you'd want a stronger bodyguard, so we just did some hacking and had our ad show at every turn. We monitored your computer activity to find out what you were looking for in a bodyguard and put those traits in the ad, and based the chosen agent on that. I was the agent that fit the criteria the best, so I got sent on the mission."

"And why can't Tony know?"

"If Tony found out that a government agency was medaling in his semi-personal affairs, he would send us out and try to cut any ties, which he wouldn't be able to do, but he could try. And him trying would make our job ten times harder."

"I see. I'll keep your secret. Well, I have to get some work done. I'll see you later, Lilith."

"Thanks, Pepper. See ya."

"JARVIS," I called out into the room.

"Yes, Ms. Williams?"

"Please alert Mr. Stark and Ms. Potts that I'm on my way to go visit my family for the weekend. I'll be back by Monday night."

There was about a minute of silence before JARVIS spoke again, "Mr. Stark said to have fun, and Ms. Potts said to enjoy your trip and that she'll keep Tony in line until you return."

"Tell them I said thank you, please. Bye, JARVIS," I said, walking out the front door and hopping in my BMW M3. I took a second to admire the sunrise before beginning my drive to the airport. I wanted to drive all the way, but dad advised me against it, so I took the first flight out there and the last flight back. The flight was pretty empty, and I got the window seat. In the middle of the five or so hour flight, I read a book on Mythology and Folklore before I was interrupted by my row partner per se.

"Are you going home or going on vacation?"

I picked my head up from my book and turned towards the person next to me, "I'm going home. I've got a live-in-job out here, so it's been a while since I've seen my family. You?"

"Vacation. I'm in the Air Force, and my tour ended not too long ago, so I'm checking out some major cities."

"Nice, uh, thank you for your service."

He just waved his hand as if to push the statement away before sticking out his hand, "I'm Sam Wilson."

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Wilson. I'm," I paused, having a mental debate on which name to use.

"What, girl, forgot your own name?"

"No," I laughed, "Just zoned out. I'm Rosemary Coulson."

"Pleasure to meet you too, Ms. Coulson."

I scrunched up my face, "Just call me Rosemary. Ms. Coulson makes me sound old."

"You'd better call me Sam, then, Rosemary."

"Alright, Sam, what do you like to do for fun?"

We chatted for the rest of the flight and exchanged phone numbers. Sam offered to drive me to my place so that I didn't have to take a taxi, which I gladly accepted. It was a surprise visit, so no one knew I was coming, and, thus, no one could pick me up. I couldn't help but admire the skyscrapers and cornerstones that I came to love when we moved there during the ride. Drove about two hours to my little house just outside of the city, a great location for a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent. The house had enough room for the whole crew to stay cozily. We continued our chat from the plane until we pulled into my driveway.

"Sam, are you sure you don't want to come in?"

"Plenty sure, I've got a city to see and only so much time to see it."

"Alright, have fun."

"Will do. I'll call you later. Bye, Rosemary."

"See ya, Sam!"

And with that, Sam Wilson drove off, and I walked up to the front door.

A/N: Hey guys! I got quarantined, again, so I had more time to write! Sorry, this chapter is so long. I didn't like how short the first section would be if it were its own chapter so I just combined the two. I honestly had a pretty crappy week, but the support y'all give to this book is insane! Did y'all see how close this book is to 1K reads!? This is crazy!!! Thank y'all so much! It really means a lot! Love you guys! <3 :)
