My dearest daughter,

Hello, my child, my name is Erica Lilith Williams, and I am your mother. I gave birth to you on December 13th, 1988, at 3:33 in the morning. I named you Lilith Angela after your grandmother, Angela, who died many years before you were born, and me. For the ten or so months I had you in my life, I never let you out of my sight. To me, you were the most precious creature on earth, and I never wanted to let you go. But, as I sit here, mere hours from my passing, the time has come to let you go. My greatest regret will forever be not thinking far enough ahead to protect you, thus preventing me from watching you grow up. But, the person to blame is a person I hope you never have the misfortune of meeting.

The person to blame is your father. You were the result of a one-night-stand while I was touring in Washington D.C. When word got out to your father that I was pregnant with you, he began hunting me down. I fled the States and moved to Europe. Staring in the UK, my home, and making my way down to Italy where you were born. After you were born, I thought they had decided to leave us alone, so I made the decision to move back to the states. It was a terrible idea as in early October of 1989, we were discovered and had to move back to Italy. I hid you with one of my allies who was instructed to bring you back when I called. They got to me, but not you, I outsmarted them. At the time of writing this, you are across the room, staring wide-eyed at me. I had to swaddle you in blankets so that you don't try and crawl over to me, I don't want my blood on you.

Your father, J.G., works for bad people by the supposed name of HYDRA. They were supposedly 'killed' off after World War Two, but it seems they survived. When they'll strike again, I'm not sure, but I suspect it will happen in your lifetime. I advise you not to tell anyone, as they may have been lying to me as a sort of fear tactic. Nevertheless, please stay prepared for a potential threat to your life.

In this box, I have left you your grandparent's wedding rings, my diamond necklace, a photo of me from 1987 just before I found out I was pregnant with you, and a few other things of importance.

My dear Lilith Angela, please stay safe and live a long and fulfilling life. For me.

All my love,

Your mother, Erica Lilith Williams.

"But who's J.G.?"

A/N: Hello again dear, sweet readers! I hope y'all had a lovely day! I know I sure did! I got COVID tested this morning because of my exposure and it came back negative! That means that my quarantine ends on Tuesday rather than Christmas! Anywho, thank y'all so so very much for the reads and votes and I hope you enjoyed this non-chapter chapter. I will admit that it took me all day to write as I had to get into the mindset of a mother. I love each and every one of you so very much!! <3
