Chapter 3

In the four weeks that Robert had stayed in the hospital Andy had gone to visit him every day, she almost always spoke and Robert listened to her;  whatever she said he listened to it.  One day they talked about the medal of valor for which she was nominated, Robert had complimented her but she said he didn't want it, said he didn't deserve it because Shannoh was dead, he was injured, the ambulance was gone  destroyed;  everything had gone wrong.  Robert had reassured her by saying that Shannoh's leg was a time bomb and she would die anyway, after talking to her Robert she was convinced of her and he had promised her that she would be there during the ceremony.

Today was the big day, not so big for Andy;  she was sitting on the stage while her father spoke she looked at Robert doesn't know why but looking at him gave her a feeling of serenity.
P: ... I am proud to give this medal of valor to my daughter, Lieutenant Andrea Herrera
Andy got up to receive the medal and say something but she couldn't say anything, she looked at the people in front of her looking at her and she couldn't say anything.  She looked at Robert who smiled at her and invited her to say something
A: um ... I ... um ... the night of the storm was a bad night ... thanks
After speaking she ran out, she couldn't stay in there anymore;  he went home and stared at the photo of her and Ryan hanging in the hallway.  She initially hated that photo, Ryan had taken it shortly after Andy's birth and she had scolded him for being a disaster at the time but whenever she felt sad or alone she looked at that photo and smiled.  She was looking at the photo when she heard the doorbell ring and went to open it and she found herself in front of Robert.
A: Robert ... take a seat
R: thanks
A: what are you doing here?
R: I saw you run away and I wanted to know if you were okay
A: the night of the storm was hard
R: you know you can talk to me about everything
A: thanks but I'm fine
R: is he Ryan?  He asked pointing to the photo Andy was looking at earlier
A: it's him ...
N: mom who are you talking to?
A: come and see if you want to know
N: Hi ... Robert
R: hey how are you?
N: good;  where is Liv?
R: she is in school, she leaves soon
N: Can her come here when her get out of school?
R: Andy is okay with you?
A: sure
About an hour later Olivia had left school and went to Andy's house to play with Nathan for a while;  they stayed there until dinner and decided to eat together.  While they were eating they talked about some things they had noticed that day
A: Did you also notice how Vic looked at Ripley?
R: yes, they spent all their time looking at each other
A: do you think there is something between them?
R: I don't know
O: Is Uncle Luke with Victoria?
N: Aunt Vic and the boss?
A: we don't know
R: and until we know the truth you won't say anything

What's going on with Vic and Ripley?  And between Andy and Sullivan?

To forgive me for posting today instead of yesterday I will post the first one shot today...
