Chapter 6

Today is Vic and Lucas' wedding day.  Andy and Robert will go together with their respective children, Robert is Lucas's best man and Andy is Vic's along with Maya.  Vic had chosen both of them because he just couldn't choose just one of them.  Andy and Robert had decided that he would go get her and they would go to the wedding together.  Robert was wearing a blue suit and Andy a pink dress, when Robert went to pick her up and saw her leave the house he was speechless;  she was gorgeous in that dress
R: you look beautiful dressed like that
A: thanks, you are not bad either
R: we go or we will be late
After the ceremony they had organized a reception;  Andy had a full glass in his hand while she was talking to Robert, they were talking when Nathan came running and bumped into Andy making her spill the glass on her dress
A: NATHAN!
N: sorry mom...
A: it doesn't matter, go back to playing and take it slow this time
R: wait for me to help you with the stain
Robert took some napkins from the refreshment table and started drying
Andy's dress.  The stain was right under his breast, and if the V-neck left little space for imagination, passing the napkins over the dress left even less.  Andy had butterflies in his stomach and he felt chills all over her body, at the same time Robert was thinking only of how he wanted to kiss her and take off her dress.  Both looked at each other with loving eyes and this did not go unnoticed by Maya who passed by.
R: I think I have removed all the stain
A: oh okay it's perfect thanks
They continued to celebrate and have fun, it was almost time for the dances and Andy knew that if they danced her and Robert it would only end one way.  Shortly before the dances, Lucas approached 19 with news
L: Guys I have to tell you something, first of all thanks for coming it means a lot to me and to Vic.  Second, the fire in LA got worse and they asked for more teams so we have to break up the marriage now and go to LA
A: Well I would say that you two have to enjoy your honeymoon and we will go to LA;  we'll get by even without you
L: thanks Herrera, Robert quiet I'll take care of Olivia
A: no!  She will be together with Nathan with my father, for my father it is not a problem to be with both of them.  You have fun
L: thanks again Herrera
R : Andy are you sure?
A: very sure;  Shouldn't we go out and put out a fire?  Here we go

They were on their way to LA, Travis, Andy and Maya were in the ladder truck while Robert, Jack, Dean and Ben were in the fire engine.
Maya was driving when she decided to talk a little to pass the time
M: So Andy what's going on with you and Sullivan
A: nothing
M: I've seen you before
A: he was just cleaning my dress
M: and he looked at you with loving eyes as if he wanted to do something else with you ... oh and for the record you looked at him with loving eyes too
A: Maya is not true at all and now leave me alone I want to relax a bit
Once in LA the situation was more critical than they thought, they immediately split into pairs

They were weeding when the fire started, most of the team managed to take refuge in a house, except Andy and Robert who had to dive into a swimming pool.  They were under the water, Andy was terrified and Robert had seen him so he decided to put his hands on her cheeks to reassure her;  he wanted so much to kiss her.  After a few minutes they returned to the surface
R: are you okay?
A: yes, apart from the water in the nose
R: come let's go join the team
They reached the team and they all got into the trucks, this time Robert had gone with Andy and they were sitting in the back.  Robert saw that Andy was trembling so he decided to bring her close to him
A: I'm cold
R: it's because you just got out of the water it's normal.  Come here I'll warm you up
He wrapped her big arms around her and immediately she felt safe, so safe that she even fell asleep in her arms.  When Robert saw her asleep he stroked her hair and kissed her forehead, all of which didn't go unnoticed by Maya.  They had almost reached the barracks and Andy was still sleeping so Robert decided to pick her up and take her to her bunk.  He did not close the door of her bunk, he left it open to see her sleeping from her desk, half an hour later Andy woke up and found Robert leaning against her desk.  She sat silently next to him and rested her head on his shoulder
R: did you sleep well?
A: yes ... did you like the wedding?
R: it was a beautiful wedding
They continued talking for a few minutes until they turned to look into each other's eyes their lips were very close, almost touching, Andy decided to take the first step and kissed him.  He broke away immediately after
A: I'm sorry ... maybe I misunderstood ...
Robert put his hand behind her to her head and brought her close to him to kiss her again. Things between them quickly heated up, her belt landed on the floor along with his shirt;  Robert lifted it up and just then a pain in his leg hit him.  He immediately dropped Andy on the ground and parted their lips;  they looked at each other for a few seconds before he spoke
R: Andy ... I ... I think you'd better go ...
She was upset, she wanted him, she thought he wanted him too since he had kissed her again;  or maybe it wasn't like that?  Millions of thoughts drifted through her mind as she got into the car.  She sat in the car for a few minutes, she couldn't drive in those conditions, she was still lost in her thoughts when her phone rang.  Seeing her father's name she answered immediately, after the phone call she started driving as fast as possible she doesn't care if she got a speeding ticket after what she had heard on the phone she had to go back immediately  home.

What happened?  Will things work out between her and Robert?
