Chapter 28

When she turned around she saw Robert on his knees and holding a small box containing a ring and she started to cry.
Robert: "Andrea Herrera, from the first moment I saw you I understood that there was something in you, I understood that you were more than a colleague, more than a friend, you were my missing half. I loved you from the first moment and I want to continue to do so for my whole life. Andrea, will you marry me?"
Andy (now in tears): "yes yes yes of course I do"
Robert put the ring on her finger and then stood up and they kissed.
Olivia: "Yay, you're getting married"
Nathan: "Mom and Dad are getting married!!!"
Andy: "Wait, did you know?"
Olivia: "Let's say yes"
Nathan: "Now all my wishes have come true"
Andy: "So that time you told Robert your wish was this?"
Robert: "yes, I had already had this idea but I didn't know how you would react and above all I didn't know when to ask you, Nathan helped me"
Andy: "I love you" and kissed him again
They all stood there still in disbelief while they hugged each other all together as a family until this moment was interrupted by Charlotte who was crying because she was hungry. Andy went upstairs, breastfed Charlotte in her room and changed her diaper and stayed to rock her until she fell asleep and at a certain point Robert arrived.
Robert: "hey, is everything okay?"
Andy: "yes yes, I'm putting her to sleep"
Robert: "ok, I just wanted to tell you that I'm preparing lunch"
Andy: "as soon as she falls asleep I'll come downstairs, thanks"
Robert went back downstairs to prepare lunch and after a few minutes Charlotte fell asleep, Andy put her in her crib, turned on the baby monitor and went downstairs with the baby monitor.
After lunch Andy went back upstairs and nursed Charlotte, with the baby in her arms she went downstairs and they spent the afternoon watching a movie on the couch.
For dinner they decided to order take out and while they waited for the food Andy nursed Charlotte and then Robert changed her diaper, after dinner Nathan and Olivia took a shower and Andy went to lie down in bed with Charlotte on her chest. When Robert was done tidying up the house he made sure Nathan and Olivia were in their beds ready to sleep, he said goodnight to them and joined Andy in bed.
Andy gave the baby to Robert and she went to wash up, when she came out of the shower she found Robert shirtless with Charlotte lying on his chest sleeping and him cuddling her.
Robert: "I read that skin to skin is very useful for bonding with your newborn"
Andy: "you are very cute together"

After getting dressed she took Charlotte and put her in the crib and then lay down next to Robert and after cuddling a bit they fell asleep. Like the night before Charlotte woke up to eat every 2 hours and Robert woke up every time to change her diaper. In the morning Pruitt took Nathan and Olivia to school and then went to run some errands.
Robert woke up, went to the bathroom and, after checking on Charlotte, went down to the kitchen where he had breakfast and then quickly tidied up the house since the team would be coming to meet Charlotte later.
Andy woke up shortly after, picked up Charlotte and went downstairs to have breakfast while breastfeeding Charlotte.
Robert: "good morning" he said giving her a sweet kiss
Andy: "good morning to you too" she said returning the kiss
Robert: "the team will arrive in about an hour and a half"
Andy: "alright. Last night I thought about it and decided that I want to wait a few years before getting married"
Robert: "you know that if you didn't want to marry me you could have just said no" he said with a little laugh
Andy: "don't even joke, if it were up to me I would marry you right now, but I want to wait until Charlotte is at least a few years old"
Robert: "give me Charlotte so you can go get dressed in peace and I'll take care of her"
Andy: "thank you"
Andy gave the baby to Robert and went to change and tidy up before the team arrived.

The team arrived and they all sat down in the living room and the team was excited to meet and hold the baby, first Andy made everyone wash their hands and then she made them pick up the baby.

Travis: "she's beautiful"
Maya: "she's a gorgeous baby"
Luke: "congratulations guys"
Andy: "we have another news" she said looking at Robert and then showed her hand
Maya and Vic: "ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED?!?"
Andy nodded and Maya and Vic ran to hug her.
Ben: "congratulations guys"

They all stayed a little longer chatting together and when it was time to breastfeed Charlotte, Andy went upstairs to have a little more peace and Maya and Vic went upstairs with her.
Andy was sitting on the couch in Charlotte's room while she was breastfeeding her and Maya and Vic were sitting on the floor.
Vic: "when did he propose to you?"
Andy: "Yesterday morning, when we got back from the hospital"
Maya: "Have you decided when to get married?"
Andy: "Not exactly when, but we've decided to get married in a few years when Charlotte is older"
Vic: "How do you feel?"
Andy: "I'm fine, it was hard to move on but if I hadn't done it I wouldn't be holding this beauty in my arms right now" she said giving a kiss on the head to Charlotte who was sleeping sweetly in her mother's arms
Maya: "I have to tell you something... carina and I talked about it and we decided to try for a baby"
Andy: "but this is great news"
Vic: "so we will all have children at a similar age and they can be best friends just like the three of us"
Maya: "calm down. it will be a very long process, we have to find a donor and the whole process will be very long and difficult"
Andy: "when that baby arrives aunt Andy and aunt Vic will be ready to spoil him. Let's go back downstairs so I can say goodbye to the others"

They went back downstairs and Andy said goodbye to the team who was leaving because their shift would start later.

Two weeks later Olivia had the school Christmas dance and she was going with a boy named Noah, Noah's parents were coming to pick Olivia up and then they would take her home.
Andy was sitting on the couch while Robert was tidying up the kitchen and when they heard Olivia coming down the stairs they were enchanted. Olivia was wearing a red glitter dress tight on top and loose on the bottom, over the dress because it was cold she had put on a fur coat.
Andy: "you are beautiful"
Robert: "you are gorgeous princess" he said going to meet her to hug her
Olivia: "thanks dad"
Robert: "have fun tonight and you know you can call us for anything and we will run to you"
Andy: "Robert don't scare her"
At that moment the bell rang and Andy went to open it.
Noah: "good evening Mrs. Sullivan, I wanted to congratulate you on the birth of your baby girl and for this I brought you some flowers" he said giving a bouquet of flowers to Andy
Andy: "thanks but you didn't have to" in the meantime Olivia and Robert also joined them
Noah: "good evening Mr. Sullivan, Olivia these flowers are for you" he said giving a bouquet to Olivia too
Olivia: "thanks"
Noah: "we will bring Olivia home by 11pm, if it's not a problem"
Robert: "no problem"
Andy: "have fun"
They said goodbye to the boys and went back to sit on the couch.
Andy: "he's a really good guy"
Robert: "yeah but if he dares to hurt my little girl he'll have to deal with me"
Andy laughed
Robert: "oh and for the record Charlotte won't have a boyfriend until she's 30"
Andy: "don't be exaggerated, I remind you that I just turned 30 and I've had two boyfriends and three children"
Robert: "let's make it until I'm 20"
Andy shook her head
Andy: "you're always the same, what movie are we watching tonight?"
Robert: "if you make me watch another episode of "keeping up with the Kardashians" I might throw up"
Andy: "I'm going to go change Charlotte's diaper, in the meantime you choose a movie"
Andy changed Charlotte's diaper and put her in her crib to sleep before going back downstairs with the baby monitor. Robert had obviously chosen a horror movie and Andy hated him for that choice.
Robert: "you asked me to choose"
Andy: "you always choose horror"
Robert: "and you always choose romantic movies, I assure you this one isn't that scary"
Andy: "we'll see"
Andy lay down on the couch resting her head on Robert, some scenes scared her but at a certain point she fell asleep and didn't watch the movie anymore, when Robert saw that Andy was sleeping he lowered the volume of the TV and put the blanket on her, he looked at the baby monitor and saw Charlotte awake. He left Andy sleeping on the couch and went upstairs to Charlotte.
Robert: "hey princess, now let's go downstairs to mommy"
They went back downstairs and Andy was still sleeping like that so as not to wake her up Robert decided to give Charlotte milk from the bottle.

A few days later it was Christmas and for convenience they decided to celebrate it at Andy and Robert's house, they were all happy to celebrate Christmas together with two new little girls, Ruby and Charlotte, Ruby was now 6 months old and was starting to approach food. Lucas and Vic usually gave her baby food but every time she wanted to taste from her parents' plate and that was the case that day too.
When they finished lunch the children opened their presents and as they could imagine the team had given a lot of presents to all the children.
