Chapter 22

Andy was healed and Robert was delighted to see her get better, today they had a visit to find out the sex, Andy hoped it was a girl and Robert hoped for a boy but the most important thing for both was that it was healthy.
Carina: "ok now let's start the visit, it is possible to find out the sex today do you want to know?"
Andy: "yeah"
Carina continued the visit and then told them about sex, both of them were very happy.
After leaving the hospital, they still had some time before the shift began, so they went to the mall to start shopping for the baby.
Robert: "Do we want to order the crib and the stroller?"
Andy: "alright"
Andy: "I like that one" she said pointing to a cot with fabric edges that can be placed next to the bed "we could put it in our room"
Robert: "and we could put this in her bedroom" she pointed to a white wooden cradle with light wooden bars
Andy: "I like it, it also has two drawers at the bottom, let's go and choose the stroller"
Andy: "look this is perfect"
Robert: "I like it a lot too"

After ordering the stroller and cribs they went to work, they only had half shifts there that day and when it was over they went home and decided it was time to tell Nathan and Olivia about the baby.
Robert: "Nathan, Olivia come here"
Olivia: "What's up dad?"
Andy: "we have to tell you something"
Robert: "in a couple of months you will have a little sister"
Olivia: "a little girl to cuddle, I'm happy"
Nathan: "yeah one of my wishes came true"
Andy: "What are the other wishes?"
Nathan: "I can't tell you mum otherwise they won't come true, but I can tell Robert one"
Nathan took Robert by the hand and led him upstairs to tell him his wish while Andy and Olivia stayed to talk.
Andy: "I understand that it will be a bit strange for you to have so much age difference with her, but I'm sure you will be a very good big sister"
Olivia: "I'm happy to have a little sister, I don't think age is that much of a problem even a friend of mine recently had a little brother"
Andy: "I was so worried about your reaction"
Olivia: "Can I tell you something? it has to stay between us but I'm glad to see my dad so happy again, it's been hard and difficult years for him after my mom passed away, he was only focused on me and work but now you're here and he's a happier man"
Andy: "we helped each other"
Olivia: "I'm happy to have you in my life" she said hugging Andy
Andy: "I'm happy to have you in my too, princess"

Nathan and Robert came back to them and Andy said something.
Andy: "grandpa will come tonight and we'll tell him the news too"
Robert: "when he arrives you stay upstairs, Andy and I tell him the news and then you can go down"

Nathan and Olivia went upstairs while Robert started preparing dinner, Andy sat at the kitchen table while she drank a glass of water, Robert could see she was flustered.
Robert: "stop fussing, it's not good for you"
Andy: "I'm scared"
Robert: "Everything will be fine and even if it doesn't go well, I'm by your side"
The doorbell rang and that meant Pruitt had arrived, Andy went to answer it and then she, Pruitt and Robert sat down on the couch.
Andy: "Dad we have to tell you something"
Pruitt: "Are you getting married?"
Robert: "no sir no or at least not yet" he said looking into Andy's eyes
Andy: "what we wanted to tell you is that ..." she took a deep breath before speaking "I'm pregnant dad, we're having a baby girl" while Andy spoke she squeezed Robert's hand tightly
Pruitt: "I'm happy, congratulations, I'm going to be a grandfather again"
Andy was relieved after seeing her father's reaction and burst into tears.
Pruitt: "Andrea why are you crying?" he said sitting down hugging her
Andy: "I was afraid you'd get angry like Nathan"
Pruitt: "Andy was different at the time, you were very young and you had just started working, now it's different"
Andy: "I love you dad"
Pruitt: "Me too Andrea" he said hugging her even tighter
Pruitt: "join the hug too" he said looking at Robert, they broke away from the hug and continued to talk about the pregnancy.
Pruitt: "You said she's a girl, so do you already know the gender? How many weeks old are you?"
Andy: "we found out this morning, I'm 16 weeks almost 17 actually"
Pruitt: "When you've been sick in the past few weeks was it due to pregnancy?"
Andy: "yeah, I suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum"
Pruitt: "are you better now?"
Andy: "yes, I'm healed"
Pruitt: "Do the kids know?"
Robert: "yeah we told him earlier"
Andy: "they took it well, Nathan had been asking me for a little sister for two years and now his dreams have come true"
Robert: "I'm going to call the children to tell them that dinner is ready"

Andy and Pruitt sat down at the table and Robert and the children arrived soon after, after eating Pruitt went home and Andy put Nathan to sleep and said good night to Olivia too.
She arrived in the room and Robert was already in bed reading a book, Andy jumped on top of him, took the book and put it on the bedside table.
Andy: "I want you, I feel so excited"
They spent the whole night making love under the covers and only fell asleep at the first light of dawn, when the alarm went off they were very tired considering they only slept 2 hours.
Andy: "uhm can't we stay in bed again?"
Robert: "no we have to go to work"
Andy: "but we didn't sleep much, I'm very tired"
Robert: "Tell it to your hormones" he said giving her a kiss
Andy: "Robert...I still feel horny. Shower together?"

They jumped in the shower together and then went to work.
