Chapter 26

Andy's pregnancy was now coming to an end, there was about a month left before the due date and she was more and more tired with each passing day.
Pruitt had been living with them for about a week and was a big help.
Robert had shortened his days at the station and worked mostly from home.

Like every evening they were all sitting on the sofa and Nathan was lying on top of Andy and she cuddled him even though she was visibly tired especially because she had some contractions in the last few days.
Andy: "Nathan it's time to get ready for bed"
Nathan: "No! I want to stay here with you" he said, holding onto his mother even tighter
Andy: "Nathan please mum is tired" Andy was too tired to even argue about the issue
Robert: "come, I'll take you to bed" he said as he tried to pick Nathan up but he clung to Andy even tighter
Nathan: "NO!"
Andy: "Nathan I won't say it again, it's time for bed so now you get up and go upstairs with Robert and get ready for bed. Was I clear?" she said raising her voice
Nathan got up and followed Robert and Olivia upstairs while Andy stayed on the couch with Pruitt.
Andy: "I can't understand why he's been so clingy lately"
Pruitt: "he has understood that soon he will no longer be the little one in the house and he is afraid of no longer receiving attention"
Andy: "Now I feel like a terrible mother"
Pruitt: "You're not a terrible mother, you're the best mother I know"
Andy: "thanks dad, I'm going to sleep raising my voice destroyed me"

Andy headed towards her room and she got ready to go to sleep when Robert also arrived in her room and found her lying in bed.
Robert: "How do you feel?"
Andy: "Very tired and my whole body hurts"
Robert: "I'll give you a massage"
Robert took the cream from the bedside table and started giving Andy a massage, Andy relaxed during the massage until she fell asleep, when Robert finished the massage and saw that Andy was asleep he gave her a kiss and he also put him to sleep next to her.

In the morning they were able to sleep because Pruitt would take the kids to school, when Andy woke up she was very excited so she climbed on top of Robert and started waking him up.
Andy: "good morning"
Robert: "I like this good morning"
Andy: "I want you"

After their morning sex they went downstairs for breakfast, Pruitt had already returned from dropping Olivia and Nathan off at school and had a surprise for them.
Pruitt: "I got you something for breakfast"
Andy opened the package and there were brioches from her favorite pastry shop.
Andy: "thank you dad, you are the best" she said hugging him
The three of them sat down to have breakfast together while Andy rubbed his belly.
Andy: "I can't wait for the pregnancy to end, it feels like i've been pregnant for ages"
Robert: "You know, right, that pregnancies don't last more than 9 months?"
Andy: "thanks Einstein I know, but try growing a mini human being in your belly with all that entails"
Robert: "sorry, I didn't mean to"
Andy: "Do you know what you can do today? You can put up all the Christmas decorations, it's already December 4th and I will direct the work from the sofa"

After breakfast Andy sat on the sofa while Robert and Pruitt went to the garage to get the Christmas decorations, when they came back upstairs they started putting up the tree while Andy watched and criticized from the sofa even though she was a little sad because she would have liked to participate too, once they finished making the tree they put the decorations on the stairs and in the garden.
Throughout the day Andy had several contractions but she always pretended nothing happened because she thought it was normal like in the previous days. When it was time to go to sleep she couldn't fall asleep because the contractions became stronger and stronger.
