I ask too many questions, might as well become a reporter

This all made sense now. Sort of. It all connected. The dreams. The reason why those monsters were attacking. The monsters that surrounded the cabin, the very same one day is living in. Why we always had to move from place to place. These things, The Queen, they were all after me and I put everyone I know in danger. But technically it wasn't my fault, right? I didn't ask for sone Queen to transfer the last of her essayer in me. Now I'm learnt that she has been generating her new body and that she'll attack in ten days. I wiped my tears and stopped crying. This isn't the time to cry. People needed saving. Especially me. I'm not being a coward, mind you. I just don't like the thought of a fighting an evil dead Queen. I didn't notice Liam and Olivia standing by the doorway. That's it.  I ran up to them. "Hey guys, since you are guardians and whatever, can you guys take the Queen", I asked them. They looked at me as if I was insane. "You know you're asking a lot from us", said Olivia, chuckling. "And besides. We're not powerful enough to take on Masoumeh Tavakoli alone. We're still guardians in training", Liam informed. Well that's that. We're dead. "Why did they send learners to do such a big task", I asked. Liam inhaled deeply as if he was talking to an idiot. "Because the other guardians are still busy, you know", said Olivia. "With what", I asked. But neither of them answered. "So how are you guys planning in defeating thus "
'Queen'", I asked. The both smirked. Uh oh. "Well that's where you come in", Olivia pointed at me.  "Wait, what".  "We thought maybe you can use the Queen's power against her", pointed out Liam. "But how? I didn't even know I had this. And you said I can control the weather. How does that work", I asked him. "Well the weather complies to your emotions. When you're happy, it's sunny. When you're sad, it rains. When you're angry, you cause a storm. And so on". "You have the powers of a goddess, Blaire. Even if it's not much but you're still powerful", said Olivia. "Does that mean I'm a goddess", I asked happily. That hope was crushed when Liam laughed at me. "Technically no. You just possess Masoumeh's powers . You're not immortal. You can't even control her powers. Let alone defend yourself", Liam said, still laughing. Clouds started to form in the sky. I guess Olivia noticed because she elbowed her brother in the chest. "Ouch", Liam said rubbing his chest. "Whatever. I'm going inside", he said as he disappeared into the cabin. "Don't mind him. He can be a massive jerk at times. I can train you to defend yourself tomorrow. Then the day after that, we go evil Queen hunting before the monsters sense that you're here", Olivia patted my shoulder before she went inside the cabin leaving me alone outside.

I stayed out for a while before joining the others in the cabin. I saw Olivia in the kitchen eating something. Looked like a granola bad. I went back to where I left Dad. He was with Liam. Seems as if they were having a serious conversation. They stopped when they saw me. "Blaire, sweetie. Come here. I have something to show you", he said, gesturing I should come over to him. I stood next to Liam watching Dad take out something from behind the couch. The sight of what Dad got out made me happy. It was my bow and quiver, which was filled with arrows. The bow was beautifully carved, with little patterns on it. But it has been a while since I've used. "Thought you'd need it for tomorrow when you leave", he said, offering for me to take it. What? "What do you mean for tomorrow", I asked taking the bow and quiver. "Well, of course for when you go on your quest to vanquish that evil Queen once and for all", he said happily. I felt a lump in my throat. "Well Mr Levesque, I thought tomorrow as might have to train Blaire first before going to kill Tavakoli", Olivia said whole she was chewing. Dad scratches his chin considering this idea. "Very well. She must be prepared for what lies ahead", he said in a serious tone. "Wait, you guys wants me to train for a day then I'm whisked away to God knows where to go kill someone", I asked. "Well it's actually a bit more complicated than that", Liam started explaining. "The Queen may or may not be able to control you. Not sure. But you'll have to train hard tomorrow and pick up on the things we'll teach you quickly because time is of essence. You'll learn other stuff on the way the way we did". "Can we go back on the part where the Queen can control me", I asked. "Have you been seeing the Queen in your dreams", he asked. "Uhmm yeah". "Then yes. Since there's some of her essence in you, she can infiltrate your mind. Fill it with thoughts. Making you believe what she wants you to believe", he explained. That made sense. I remembered in my dream when I saw her. She was so persuasive. I had to learn how to fight that. Dad looked out the window. "It's getting late. The sun has set. Everyone get cleaned. Liam, go get the salt. They're coming".
