It was a mess. Everything was uncoordinated. Everyone was everywhere. The counsellors had to get everyone in order. And being a CIT, I had to help Olivia get the hand together. "Okay guys... Ethan what did I say about bringing candy here", Olivia shouted because or the noise. Ethan put his chocolate bar away. "As I was saying, I hope you guys already know what you want to do. They are different tables where you go to sign up for the activities you desire. If you need my help, I'll be over there", she pointed at a desk decorated with a lot of glitter. Eww. The banner read 'Musicians' Club'. "Got it", she asked. Everyone nodded. "Go out there and have fun".
I did not have any fun whatsoever. It was too crowded. I couldn't find the Archery table. But I couldn't give up. I just wish I could've applied a bit of sun screen. Took me 20 minutes to find the table. There weren't a lot of people by the table. I would've been disappointed but I liked it that way. I ran over to the table. The ones in charge of that table was the counsellor of the Fox cabin and the counsellor of the Falcon cabin. "Hi. I'm Candice Ross, counsellor of the Fox cabin. Here to sign up for archery", she asked handing me a clipboard and a pen. I took the clipboard and pen and signed up and gave it back. I was so excited. I thought of signing up for other activities as well. But before I left someone called my name. I looked around and didn't see anyone coming towards me. I shrugged. "I didn't know you were into archery". I turned around to see who's talking to me. It was Liam. I haven't talked to him after the day I arrived. "Meh. Well... yeah. Of course", what the hell was I saying. Liam smiled. That's the first time I've seen him smile. It suited him. I wish he smiled ore often. But we were disturbed by the sound of screams.
The counsellors and CITs tried to calm the campers down before they went to the source of the screams. It cane from the lake. When we got there, we saw two girls not older than 14 years screaming. They looked out to the lake. What were the looking at? That's until I saw them coming out of the water. An animal that looked like a killer whale but a body of a wolf at the same time. He had scar all over its body. But it's legs were fit. It bared its teeth at me. I was scared. I know these things. Well I saw them in my dream. There were two of them. They were big and looked hungry. "Akhults", I heard Olivia mutter. Hoe did she know these things? Why was she so calm? It took a while for the counsellors to register what they were looking at before they ran away screaming. I hadn't even noticed one if the akhults lunged forward towards me.
My body froze. I didn't know what to do. If it wasn't for Olivia, I would've been an akhult treat. Olivia pulled me and we ran. The akhults on our tails. "Olivia, what's going on", I asked Olivia, on the verge of crying. She said nothing. Her face was serious. Clouds started to form in the sky. But how? The wasn't a cloud in sight today. But that was the least of my warriors right now. The campers ran like headless chickens. Olivia flipped a table and pushed me behind it. "Stay here", she ordered me. Before I could say anything, she ran away. Did she ditch me? My hands were shaking. A lot of questions went in my head. The clouds were starting to get dark. I felt a grip on my shoulder. I turned around shocked. I saw Liam's face. "Come on", he pulled me. "But if-", I didn't know which question was appropriate. What about Olivia? If we leave we'd due. "Look. If you wanna die then stay here". I had no choice but to follow him. From a distance, I could see Olivia... fighting those monsters! I tried pulling Liam to her direction. We had to help her. His grips tightened. "She's got it covered. She's buying us some time to escape". What? I looked at her again. One of the akhults were injured but it still kept fighting. Olivia looked tired herself. She had a dagger in her hand. She had bruises and was sweaty. I couldn't handle her seeing her that way. It started to rain. I kept on pulling Liam. I wanted to help Olivia. It rained harder. "Blaire calm down or else you'll drown us", he shouted and pulled him. I tried fighting but he was stronger. "What do you mean I'll drown you", I asked completely confused. "You're the one causing the storm", he yelled in my ear. How am I causing it. All I knew was that I couldn't stay here ant longer. I looked back at Olivia and followed Liam. I heard someone whispering in my ear. But there was no one behind us. I couldn't hear what this person was saying but all of the energy I had left was getting drained. My legs felt weak. I tried fighting it but it got worse. I felt dizzy. The world was spinning. And after that, I passed out.
